Gotta love the sprouts, little green diamonds.
Step forward the poxy parsnip, it tastes as bad as it looks, narrowly pipping celery, the thought of it is giving me the shivers.

Garlic - (if it is a vegtable?)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 598 ✭✭✭IronMan

Cauliflower is a smug, tasteless bastard of a vegetable.

As for the onion haters, if you have ever worked in a restaurant, food production you would realise that they find their way into almost everything savoury at some stage, be it the stock, the sauce, the filling.

parsnips, the most evil evil evil thing on the planet, along with celery

Yeah, IIRC it's related to the onion.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,699 ✭✭✭samhail

it was an even turnip, parsnip, and celery... but celery won cos so many dieting type sites say its great.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 951 ✭✭✭sorrywhat

Brussel Sprouts, they small mank, they taste mank. They are just mank.

And then someone has the audacity to do this

Good rule to follow on the old veggie v fruit thingy is, if it has seeds, it's a fruit!

I can eat brussel sprouts but I'd rather not!

Otherwise I like all veg. Tis yum.

I'm a food weirdo and only eat green veg. All the rest is rank!

Beetroot. I'd happily eat a bowl of any of the other veg above, which is useful being vegetarian..

Can't understand how so many people hate sprouts :/

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 806 ✭✭✭AssaultedPeanut

Has to be parsnips!! EUUURGHHH I hate them, the worst is when you mistake them for a roast potato and bite into it and you get the horrible texture and that almost toxic taste  It'd put you right off your food

Parsnip and carrot mash is nice, + salt & margarine.

    I have a margarine problem....

Onions are the best vegetable around (and I don't really like vegetables). They bring out the flavours of other foods and are absolutely gorgeous caramelised on a steak. How dare you desecrate the good name of the onion.

Also, the poll should be multi-choice.. I'd pick them all (except onions)

Steamed mange tout (not on your list I might add) are the king of veg.

    All celery should be destroyed.
