Posted this a couple of years ago and is a bet I used to regularly. Has hit a couple of times with nice rewards. It's basically yo have an interest in weekend footie coupon without a massive outlay and minimum form studying. The league table is the form giude for this bet. Fiver accum on leaders of all eight divisions in England and Scotland, fiver on the bottom teams to lose and euro accum on a monster combination of too. Strictly speaking it's not great strategy but keeps me interested. I don;t mind losing €11 every Saturday and if it hits I'll have a few beers or maybe a holiday out of it. I'll keep a bank to see how I'm getting on as I haven't really kept track of it before. Only one rule, I won't bet against United.
    Anyway here goes

    Leaders
    Chelsea v Sunderland @ 2/9
    Exeter v Leeds @ 8/13
    Rochdale v Port Vale @ 8/15
    Hamilton v Rangers @ 4/11
    East Fife v Cowdenbeath @ 11/10
    Albion Rovers v Livingston @ 4/7
    Dundee v Dunfermline @ 4/6
Newcastle v West Brom @ Ev

€5 free bet with Ladbrokes for potential return of €227.05

    Last places
    Portsmouth v Birmingham @ 13/8
    Peterborough v Derby @ 21/10
    Stockport v Oldham @ Evs
    Darlington v Aldershot @ 5/6
    Celtic v Falkirk @ 2/11
Ayr v Airdie Utd @ Evs
    Clyde v Alloa @ Evs
    Montrose v Stranraer @ 11/8

€5 with PP for potential return of €1,674.97

    €1 accum on all selections

Thanks. After last week's near miss I considered it but most of the seleections are odds-on anyway and would probably be lucky to get 10/1 with draw no bet which would be pretty **** return for an 8-fold. Will have a look next week though. Couple of losses on each accum this weekend so wouldn't have nade a difference this week anyway.

In fairness I know the original idea is silly and is a long-shot but I am cutting back on my gambling so this is just a way of passing a Saturday afternoon. It has hit a couple of times for me so I don't mind losing the few quid every week and any time it has come in I've made about three or four hundred quid off it so got my enjoyment out of that. Basically one up should cover a season of losers

I'm not a big gambler, I like the occasion football bet to keep me interested so this fits the bill for me. Might give it a try until the end of the season.

I notice Nulty has saved me the bother but as there are a couple of Cup matches today in Scotland and I didn't get out on time to put on leaders' bet with Newcastle playing last night, I'll try to keep up to date with my own bets. I've a good feeling that you'll eventually come up trumps with a huge win.
You're not far off most weeks and I'm an amid follower of this thread.

Only 34 yoyos in the red, you're doing good mate :)

I hadn't planned on it when I started out but when I saw your post I thought I should give it a bash. Off sick today so didn't do anything. Glad neither of us did because it doesn't look like hitting at time of writing. Darlington seem to be on a nice run (unfortunately for this bet). I have an irrational superstition about midweek coupons though so I may just stick with the original plan of weekends only :D But if you're going to continue it, good luck

FA Cup games this weekend reduce the leaders' bet to five matches and the losers' to seven.

    Leaders
    Brighton v Norwich @ 10/11
    Ayr v Dundee @ 4/6
    Alloa v East Fife @ 8/13
    Livingston v Annan Athletic @ 3/10
    Rangers v Hibernian @ 2/5

    Last places

    Stockport v Colchester @ 8/11
    Morecambe v Darlington @ 4/7
    Hearts v Falkirk @ 3/4
    Partick v Airdrie United @ 4/7
    Arbroath v Clyde @ 6/5
    Montrose v Queens Park @ 6/5

€5 accum for potential return of €276.97

€1 accum on all 12 selections for potential return of €518.19

All bets with PP because I had no time to check elsewhere and had to go for convenience over price. Noticed special offer on their coupons of money back if you can pick two numbers from main Lotto draw so any money back on 7/17 will be included in my bank :D

The word "Gutted" does not do how I feel at the moment justice. For second time in a fortnight Stockport hamstring me. Only last place team not to lose by coming from 0-2 down to equalise in 77th minute (literally at the same time that Arbroath who I was waiting on went in front). Not only that but would have been waiting on Rangers tomorrow for the clean sweep as well. :(:(:(

Using midweek fixtures for first time to see if some bets with smaller numbers of selections can get me closer to the black. Bit of a pointless exercise this week as I more or less need all selections to win to get anything better than my money back. Anyway....all bets with Ladbrokes

No Premiership teams included due to them both being in the Cup. Quietly confident of going close with the leaders' bet as they're all at home but the odds reflect that. Dundee could be the dodgy one not having played in so long due to matches being postponed so regularly. Couple of dodgy aways in the losers's bet. All bets again with VC due to their bonus scheme.

Midweek bets done and beaten. No point in posting teams after the bank but want to keep bank up to date. Passed the hundred quid mark quicker than expected. Not too confident of getting anything before end of season as midtable teams may take it easy giving bottom sides a chance as can be seen with Montrose's nine points form last three games - almost doubling season's tally. Anywho....

No joy at weekend. Can't be arsed checking all results due to
    a) laziness and
    b) not wanting to find out I was undone by a late equaliser
