    Hi caoimh,
I'll do a few updates on here over the next few days, but dont expect an expert job from me!!

If anybody wants a particular players chip-count, just post the name and I'll do my best to get it for you.

We have 106 players payed into the ME, and when you consider we had 160+ last 2 years, its a bit disappointing. But I guess thats what this recession does, and of course, that spell of weather was no help either.

Still, everyones in great spirits and theres lots of friendly banter. We started with 15k in chips, and a 1 hour blind level of 25-25, and our 1st player out lasted all of 20 mins. (33 v JJ on an A-J-3 rainbow flop). We then lost another player 10 mins later with AA v KK, all-in fre flop. With the level at 25-25, it must have taken about 6 reraises to get all them chips in the middle.

As I write, there are 99 players left and we are approaching the end of the 75-150 blind level.
I'll give a walk about and report a few chip stacks.

3 cash tables going, 1 holdem, 1 omaha and 1 round of each.

Is trevor dineen still in ME?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 386 ✭✭Laxie

Main Event is down to 4 and they're on a short break. Here's the chip counts for those left-

Cahill Shine is chip leader with around 550k

    John Keown 400k

    Trevor Dinneen 350k

    Jay Renehan 250k

The 2 day side event has been dragging out a bit. They're down to 10 and only lost 1 player in the last 4 hours.

    Michael O'Brien 140k

    Chris Dowling 116k

    Laura Carroll 15k

    Anthony Coleman 36k

    Alan Kavanagh 124k

That's half of them, but they're on a break and you'll have to wait until they get back so I can get names for the other half of them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 386 ✭✭Laxie

We still have 4 players in the main and average stack is 50 big blinds.

Meanwhile, in the 2 day side event, in a 3 way all in pre flop, Mark Spellman's QQ was no match for AA - or 55 as it turns out...with a 5 hitting on the flop to send Mark to the rail. After a looong run of it, we're down to 9 in the 2 day side event.

    It's BUBBLE TIME!

    Here are the payouts

    1st €5,000

    2nd €3,000

    3rd €2,000

    4th €1,500

    5th €1,000

    6th €750

    7th €650

    8th €500

Jay Renehan pushes 120k over the line pre with JJ and gets the call by Trevor Dinneen who makes the call with AQ. No A, no Q and Jay doubles up to 240k.

2 day SE has just gone on another quick break. At the rate it took them to lose the last 2 players...they'll be here all night!

    Seat 3 -- Michael O'Brien 50k

    Seat 4 -- Laura Carroll 60k

And approximate counts in the Main Event

    Trevor -- 270k

    John -- 600k

    Jay -- 25k

    Cahill -- 650k

    blinds at 5k/10k with a 1k ante

Blinds in the 2 day SE are at 2.5k/5k with a 500 ante

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 386 ✭✭Laxie

Jay shoves his last few chips in with J2 and Trevor makes the call with A6. No improvement for either of them and Jay heads for the rail 5th place taking €5,500 with him.

There's talks of a deal on the ME final table. Will let you know if they come up with one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 386 ✭✭Laxie

No deal! Play on to the finish...for now.

    Trevor 300k

    John 500k

    Cahill 800k

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 386 ✭✭Laxie

After hours of no action on the SE final, they've gone mad

1st hand Mark Gray hits the rail when he pushes with KK and gets a call by Mark Goulding with AK. A hits the board and Mark Gray heads for the door.

2nd hand Andy Booth shoves his lot over with 99 and Anthony Coleman makes the call with AQ. 9's held up and Coleman's chip stack is crushed to dust.

3rd hand Anthony shoves his last 4k over the line with A2 and is called by the BB with K7. No help for either of them and Anthony hangs on with 9k.

Main Event on a small break...and so am I. Be back in 10. :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 386 ✭✭Laxie

There was a small deal done on the 2 day SE to give 9th and 10th €200 each, but doesn't change the grand scheme of payouts as such...sooooooooo -

Michael O'Brien out in 8th for €500 when his A3 push was called by Andy Booth with AK. Down to 7 in the side event and still 3 running strong in the main.

Trevor Dinneen has just gone out when he pushed with AQ and was called by John Keown with AJ. John held the A of clubs and 4 clubs hit the board to send Trevor home in 3rd with €7,500 for his troubles.

We're heads up in the Main Event and they're level in chips at around 800k each. No deals and playing on.

Meanwhile, after hours of no action in the 2 day SE, they've gone mad on the final table. Unfortunately, I blinked and missed the lot when we lost Mark Goulding in 7th for €650 and Alan Kavanagh in 6th for €750.

What kind of numbers did you get for the one day event thast was starting this evening? Also how did the heads up go?

There were 61 runners in today's side event and they're down to 17 with average stack at 28k and blinds at 500/1000 and 100 ante.

Heads up had 8 players and it was between Dara O'Kearny and Tommy Walsh for the title. They chopped the money €2,000 each and had a one hand shoot out for the glory - which Tommy took down.
