Munster: Warwick , Howlett, Earls, JdV,Hurley, Rex O Hara, O Leary
du Preez, Fogarty, Hayes, DOC, POC, Quinlan, Ronan, Wallace

Subs: Varley, Archer, Brugnaut, Ryan, Coughlan, Stringer, Mafi, Dowling

Mc Gahan has really got it right this time. No room for Buckley, O Driscoll on panel.

    Finally, the right 22.

I assume JdV is 12 and Earls 13, it reads the other way in that team..

Fair dues picking purely on form.

Thats a damn good squad. With some power off the bench if required. Reckon 60min it will be tight and then the fitness will show for poor Treviso as Munster will utilize the full bench

I reckon you're right. munster by 14 with BP.

Our sub prop for the 6N can't make his provincial squad. Wonderful.

Good Munster team though, JdV/Earls in the centre could be superb.

What Cian Healy's been dropped!! Now that is a surprise. ;)

In all seriousness would you have Buckley in the Munster 22? I would nt.

I would not, I think he's awful to be honest. However it's very likely DK will pick him in the Ireland 22 imo going on past selections.

    What about Tom Court?

    What about Tom Court?

Is it 22 or 23 man matchday squads for the 6N's?

Has never been picked ahead of Buckley when Buckley's been fit as far as I can remember. Open for correction though.

    Isn't Court a LH, not a TH?

Not really surprised that Buckley didn't make it - this is an Italian team Munster are playing. The kind of team you'd put Mike Ross out against.

Can play both sides, but is far better at LH

Yup - coupled with Hayse being 36 and Ross being 3rd choice tighthead for his province - you know we are in good shape

Will this be Archer's Cup debut? He's certainly staking out a claim for his place on the squad with previous performances.

Its a shame that Perpignan put out a weaker team seeing as they need to concentrate on their own league and thus give Saints an easy enough match. Still one can always hope for an upset!

Good strong team named. I know the "clothes horses" will be no push over, but how i'd love a bonus point today.

Some lovely lines of running but Treviso think they re playing tag rugby.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,721 ✭✭✭Otacon

Munster are ruthless today. Absolutely brilliant. More of that please!

Worried about ROG's kicking though. It does seem windy but still, he should be doing better.

I would love to see the stats even at this early stage for how many tackles Treviso have missed

You made the same statement as me. How is saying that Treviso's defense and tackling is shocking munster bashing? It is shocking. You even said the same a few posts back.
