Bargain Alerts - New Moderator

Don't know if many people are aware (I only found out myself last week) but Ruu has retired from his moderator duties. Some say he's going to farm chickens, others say he simply vanished into a puff of smoke when announced he would be giving up his moderator duties. Regardless, Ruu has been moderating this forum for as long as I can remember (as far as I know, he's been posting 'Bargain Alerts' since the great drought of 1864 when his first Bargain Alert was for a replacement water gasket for the village well).

So, it's with this that I'd like to wish Ruu the best with whatever he does in future, and I'm sure he'll still be around.

And with that, his replacement was chosen after much deliberation (i.e we wrote names on a bunch of ping pong balls and got a chimp from Dublin Zoo to eat them.. 'Davy' was the one name who remained so he seemed like the right choice. Oh.. and that chimp is still actually quite unwell as it turns out the pens we wrote the names with were highly toxic. So if anyone wants to send cards, bananas or flowers, give me a PM!).

So, let's hear your farewell's for Ruu and welcome's for Davy!
