* Inane groups - "BURSTING OUT LAUGHING AND NOT BEING ABLE TO STOP AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME" - woah, that's outrageous, sign me up!
* being told my friends "like" statuses of people I haven't added as friends
* being suggested to "reconnect" with my gf
* being told every single time I've been tagged in a photo
* the fact the ONLY guy on facebook with my exact name won't answer my friend request
* ugly people I know with photoshopped profile pictures
* people that spend their entire day doing quizzes to find out what kind of fruit they are!
* the "dislike" button is not here, it's never gonna be here and I won't pass your stupid message because facebook isn't going to charging people!!

you can block all those messages about pictures and 'likes'. go to settings and then notifications and you can hide info on your news feed if you like.

A guy I hadn't spoken to in at least 7 or 8 years added me as a facebook friend a few weeks ago, out of the blue. I would never have been that friendly with him in the first place, more an acquaintance. So I send him a message, hey how are you, long no time no see that sort of thing, just being polite. And he doesn't even bother to reply. So what's the point? Just clocking up names to add to the friend list.

Facebook has to be one of the most overrated websites there's ever been. I mean youtube, ebay, google, those sites deserved to be successful, but Facebook is pretty crap. Endless stupid quizzes designed by American frat boys with the brain of a retarded chimp.

From the entire time I've been on facebook I've never been subjected to one of those things, ever. Not even sure what some of them mean. Maybe you're just crazily unlucky?

WHY do people add people who have the same name as them? WHAT is the point in it? You have the same name, big egffing wow - you don't know that person and you most likely never will.


As for quitting FB - go for it. The thing has its pros and cons and is an excellent procrastination tool, but I'm sure the world would keep going without it

Yeah... someone with the same name as me tried to add me on facebook as well. Of course I ignored it... It's strange and creepy. I only have people I actually know on facebook.
