I agree with all the principles Transform preaches but one thing I find is that its difficult to do thoses full body type workouts in the gym because they involve moving from different areas and back and the gym doesnt even have to be that busy and people are wanting to use a piece of equpment not knowing I havent totally finished with it yet,I have even seen guys get into agruments,I am just wondering how others have dealt with this?

    1) Set up everything close together
    2) Improvise and use/do something different
    3) Do it when the gyms quiet
    4) Get to know ppl so they a) know you do mad workouts and b) don't mind waiting for you to finish

Yea I generally try to set everything up close together and work as quickly as I can, and even if somebody tries to use something I might be using I would politely let them know and generally people are understanding.

And even if that fails I would improvise, which is better than doing nothing.

Yeh I would agree set everything up nearby or do it at a much quieter time, can be hard this time of year though

    Hey,

If the place is busy I generally just improvise as already said and do a similar exercise. I also generally try to set everything up near me, although that's not always do-able. In general though I find now that most people are used to seeing me flying through workouts and they're sound enough about that kind of thing, the other day I was doing a metcon and on the last round I needed to use the treadmill but they were all in use, so this girl hopped off hers and told me to fire ahead cause she knew I'd only be a few mins.

Depends on your gym too though, I find people much more accomodating in my new gym than my previous one and it was a big factor in why I switched. It used to wreck my head when guys where standing around equip chatting/messing about when I was halfways through a workout and needed to use it.

agreed with all of the above and most of all a full body program that i design does not normally involve doing 5-6 exercises in a row so you should not have to move about too much if at all in some cases.

Still waiting for you to make a booking also

Do you work saturdays? As I have told you in a pm before I live in waterford so hiring you on an ongoing basis is not feasible for me at present, however I would consider a session some saturday to get a bodyfat analysis done and for you to put me on the right track regarding a program

i have plenty of clients that come to me once every 4-6 weeks for retest and new program. In the past month i have had clients come from all over dublin, from cork, limerick etc

    Yes i work saturdays.

Overall just looking at a program i do for clients is not always the answer as that has been put together considering the needs and mechanics of the individual.

    .

Vampirekiss, I do this and it works out grand, once you have your program you can work away yourself and the reviews will keep you motivated. The idea of going to a PT is to get a program designed specifically for you, working off other peoples programs is grand to start off with but you're not going to get the best possible results from it. Also as every new program is different, and makes you push yourself more, you know you're making progress as opposed to getting stuck in a rut.

i totally agree - most people are looking to discuss things too much rather than getting down to it and get moving

    +1.

OP, twould be great to see you coming back telling us about your success story instead of questions on this and that. Theory is just that - theory. Without some sweat and commitment it doesn't mean jack.

We're only reinventing the wheel here anyway..this has been going on for years and certain people just arent listening.

So direct and blunt. I love it. :D

To be fair, you're just telling the truth. We all need to face the facts sometimes.
