    Sunday

    Ravens @ Patriots
    Packers @ Cardinals

Explosive opening to the Jets-Bengals game. Fumble currently being reviewed after a long return on the kick off.

    Jets defence do it again.

My picks (yeah they're obvious) are:
    Bengals
    Cowboys
    Ravens
    Packers

Just ruled a fumble which the right call imo. Not worth a challenge

Palmer still throwing high. Unlucky for Caldwell though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 873 ✭✭✭InKonspikuou2

Coles will be happy with that. Makes up for his fumble.

Yeah the Bengals D is looking strong.

Stupid challenge call. Looks like the right foot was dragging. They better hope they don't need one for a big play later on.

    *Stupid challenge indeed.*

lol Braylon Edwards, somethings never change.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,440 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Yeah that was shocking from Edwards, and its what he will be remembered for, as you say some things never change.:D

Nice counter play. Bengals D moving fast to the left and ball goes to the right. Nice TD.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,646 ✭✭✭cooker3

Palmer has been awful so far.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 873 ✭✭✭InKonspikuou2

yeah. Lucky that ball wasn't recovered by the jets.

Took the words out of my mouth, cooker.
Carson Palmer was one of the most promising QB's in the league a few years ago. He's distinctly average now. The Bengals are dooing their thing, and he's been good at times this season. But to see him go from an excellent QB to this is sad.
Palmer, Cassell, Sanchez, Leinart - and you guys think Hasselbeck iis bad :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,067 ✭✭✭tallaghtoutlaws

Jay Feely doing a lot of work today. Kicking and Punting.

That FG attempt destroyed twice by two stupid penalties. Two linemen going to get their asses kicked by the coaching staff for that one. Feely going FG,FG,Punt one after another :D

wtf was that kick-off, and then the jets trying to let them off.
Either way whoever gets through is going to be soundly beaten by the colts or chargers imo unless there are big improvements.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19,341 ✭✭✭✭Chucky the tree

It's one big bottle job from the Bungles. Ochio deserves better then this.

For once, I'll be cheering on the Pats this weekend. Getting the winner of this game would be like another bye :pac:

jets td. They are playing well above the expectations i had of them for this game. Bengals are pretty banged up and palmer is playing bad.

Typical Bengals. 19 years without a play-off victory doesn't lie. There is just a culture of defeat which is hard to shake off

Boom TD jets. Looking very good for them now.

    Huge Play.... game on now

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 873 ✭✭✭InKonspikuou2

jets showing they still got control of this game. Answering back with good yardage on this drive. And clever play at the end making it a 2 possession game.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,287 ✭✭✭davyjose

What a game Benson is having.

And Sanchez is on a 139 QB rating so far... http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/weeklyLeaders?sortType=passing&week=18

Wow what a big fat chicken Rex Ryan is not going for it there. He could regret that before the game is over.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 873 ✭✭✭InKonspikuou2

bengals were lucky there. That could have been game.

Will the Jets cut the Punter and let Feely do the punting now, he's doing ok, Bengals almost done now, Carson's very poor today.

Painful watching Palmer's high passes and Graham sh1t kicking. Deary me the Bengals are choking big style right now. The game is as good as over.

    Graham should be shot....

    6pts down the tube!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,646 ✭✭✭cooker3

Missed field goal and that's that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,440 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

    Taxi for Shayne Graham.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,587 ✭✭✭gerire

    Palmer playing crap; even through this drive which has been mainly yards through pealties so many high throws; Also benson s having a stormer;

As for my JETS; Looking good and doing what they have to; plus another missed field goal shocking; Shanchez playing well; Crotchery making a couple of great sideline grabs

Hopefully; All things staying the same as it is now I'll be in Woolshed definately next week

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 873 ✭✭✭InKonspikuou2

they get to the 10 after 2 penalties aiding them. And then don't even take 3. Just horrible. Jets deserve this. Run the clock and force the time outs.

    Worst. Kicker. Ever.

Enjoy your last 3 minutes as a football player graham

No Surprise to see Shayne Graham mess it up, standard of kicking in the NFL is rubbish. And he is one of the worst.

Ah now, to be fair. There has been some spectacularly bad kicking this season. Still have Suisham to come for Dallas and Mason tomorrow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,174 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

The kicking situation for some clubs is comical when the Colts have both Vinateri and Stover!

Didn't Graham bottle a last play extra point against the Broncos before?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 873 ✭✭✭InKonspikuou2

i'm hoping for a ravens win tomorrow. Jets at Bolts would be a nice one for me.

By the way. Congrats jets fans. I doubt you imagined advancing this far a few weeks ago

Out of the 32 teams there was 5 really bad kickers this season. Suisham, Folk, Mason, Scobee and Brown

I have to say going into the play-offs I regarded Sanchez as the worst QB out of the 12 but fair play he played very well today and was far superior to Palmer.
Excellent outing for a rookie in his first play-off match.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,287 ✭✭✭davyjose

standard of kicking in the NFL is rubbish.

    Compared to???? Ronan o'Gara?

Hats off to Sancez, the guy had a ferociously impressive start to the season, which turned into a nightmare. He officially became a "game manager", and his team eked a play-off place. The guy then throws up a QB rating of 140, and becomes one of 4 Rookie QB's to win a game. He wasn't the best player on the field, but the kid earned his stripes.

Now taste the wrath of Mathis & Freeney :D
