The liveliners have booked PBH to replace JOOOOOEEEE Duffy after his spell on liveline a while back. He really is much better than all the established "talent" at rte and needs a bigger vehicle than he is getting at the moment.

Although its obvious up in RTE the bigger spoofer you are the better gig you get.

Joe duffy on 450K a year!!!

He's thoroughly professional and a huge improvement on Mary Wilson. My only complaint is that he makes everything sound like an investigative report,no matter how trivial.A small complaint though.

speaks in a patronising all knowing tone.
Wilson at least has a personlity that goes beyond that of a potted plant.

His piece on drivetime today was a sham.

He was interviewing people on the breadline. He asked a woman who says she can't afford this and that etc as she was on welfare. Then he asked her is it difficult to afford money for the doctor. She says yeah. Yet he didn't even ask her is she had a medical card. How could she not have a medical card.

Anyone would be better than "just let me interrupt you Wilson". Boucher Hayes at least makes Drivetime listenable again.

I can easily imagine him sinking a few pints of Heino with the lads whilst watching the rugger.

Not a huge Boucher-Hayes fan, but I really can't see him doing this - and you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone referring to the game as 'rugger', even in D4.

He is of course, an enormous improvement on Mary Wilson.
