I hate when hard working people are crucified with tax and people on social welfares can live like kings.

Yes. Yes I am surprised at the idea of four people buying a 2010 vehicle each in cash, even if they are travellers. I'm so surprised that I'm inclined to think it's not true.

Perhaps they inadvertently left their cheque books at home.

    XFR, black.

Doing my bit for the environment, it gets at least 1mpg better than the car it's replacing: a 4.2 V8 normally aspirated. Which lets you know how engine technology is progressing over the years.

MM needs a lot of environmentally friendly vehicles to cancel out the effect of his tank on the ozone layer, and I'll say nothing about the depleted uranium (although that could be vicious propaganda made up by Greenpeace)

The first 200 or 250 are reserved, numbers start at 201 or 251 for the great unwashed.

It is true that a vehicle which does four gallons to the mile is not entirely environmentally friendly, but just think of all those potential polluters one can kill off with it before they trash the planet.

one of the lads mentioned today his lack got a new 10 reg car, didnt bother asking him what kind though

Uncle got his new car yesterday. He had a hybrid but it became unreliable, battery issues, and he's traded it in for a petrol car.

I saw two today and know another person that's ordered one. Some dealers are matching the government's scrappage allowance, so you'll be getting €3000 off retail on some models. If someone has a right banger it would definitely be worth it.

You can get a brand new Ford Ka (new model, the one in Quantum of Solace) for €8,495 - the lowest price for a Ford car in Ireland in over 20 years. The tax on it is only €104 a year, and it averages 67mpg. Good deals on the Fiesta too - just over €11,000 for a brand new 10 reg.

Had an idea that the lower numbers were reserved alright.
Didn't know the figure was as high as 200 though.

I brought a big flash bike into the country just before christmas. It's registered now as a 09 bike. Saved for 2 years for it but I'm sure I'm going to be abused for driving it.

Ahh, today we picked out a 2010 Merc S320 CDI we liked, should be driving it sometime 2016 when we can afford it.

Same here, because they usually buy them in multiples of 8-10 so they get one free for a cash transaction.
