Nice, wonder if that tens unit is any good as well? The one the uni physio used on my back did wonders for me before.

the monitor does not come with a strap around your chest so i would question your ability to use it while running/cycling as you have to put your finger on the watch while exercising - not very practical.

Also from my experience these type of watches are not great at all compared to a good polar watch which will last for ages and always easy to get parts that you might lose or break

But on the flip side of that the Aldi watch costs less than sending the Polar away for its battery to be replaced, so its an good cheap standby.

But I agree with where your coming from, personally I wouldn't use it as my regular HRM but I'm going to pick one up as a replacement/standby HRM.

**Edit, just read the spec's and I'm not going to bother. As you said, holding your finger on the sensor is impractical, penny just dropped - thanks.

Oh, and the thread title says 'Aldi' but the watch is actually being sold in Lidl.

I think there's a HRM for about €20 in Tesco at the moment too, saw one in Tallaght the other day, but not sure if it has a strap.
