Webbed socks?

My pool won't allow fins at any time. The gym manager said that there are these new aids, a kind of webbed sock type thingy, that swimmers are allowed use. I've searched online but can only find webbed gloves, does anybody out there know what he is talking about and where I could pick them up or am I being fed a line.…
