They more than likely will screw it up. From what I have heard it sound interesting and a bit stupid, but why bother go this new direction when its also a little stupid. I got the script today and I will probably give it a read soon.

Fairly sure Shutter Island was one my most anticipated films of 2009, so that again :p

Fairly sure The Road was one of my most anticipated films of 2008, then 2009, so that again :p

And Inception, since Christopher Nolan's yet to let me down.

    The Expendables
On October 26, Stallone, Willis and Schwarzenegger shot their scene in the Hollywood Presbyterian church in Los Angeles, marking the first time all three have appeared together on screen

So many remakes, adaptations and sequels... need original films please! Thankfully we have Inception, The Book of Eli, Daybreakers and a few of the adaptations might be decent, hopefully Shutter Island should be anyway. I dont really think there's a need for a Toy Story 3, but sure Pixar rarely dissapoint.

I have to admit most of the films in the OPs list look like they'll be muck.

The Expendables is one film which I think is getting far too much hype, yeah sure it has a lot of action stars in it but that's about all it has going for it. People who are hyping it up are doing so out of nostalgia for all the awesome action stars in this film...who don't make awesome action films anymore, fingers crossed I suppose but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

The ones I'll be looking forward to in particular are Iron Man 2, The Road and Alice in Wonderland.

I'm sure I'm missing a lot of potentially good films. There's probably some really good ones I havent even thought about.

So yeah, I'm looking forward to:

I Love You Philip Morris - Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor, nuff said.
Iron Man 2 - Really enjoyed the first.
Robin Hood - A refreshing take on an old story.
Portrait of a Zombie - A good Irish horror? Heck, we need one.
Daybreakers - Stylish take on vampires and the future.
The Road - I hear the book is excellent, so hopefully the film can live up to it.
Toy Story 3 - Liked the first two. I usually enjoy Pixar stuff.
The Expendables - All my favourite action stars in one movie!
Clash of the Titans - Big fan of the original. This looks a good update.

    Maybe Pile:

Predators - I hope they don't mess it up. I'd say tehy will though.
Kick Ass - This might be fun. The Nic Cage bit I saw was pretty funny.
Legion - Hopefully a fun mindless action blaster.
Piranha 3D - Kelly Brooke in 3D. Need I say more, need I say more..

Stallone still does. Rocky Balboa and Rambo were both great. here's hoping he can make it 3 in a row.

I really enjoyed Rambo, even though I felt it was a bit of a departure from the tone of the originals. Rocky was ok, I liked the fight as it was filmed rather well and it was in fact a real fight, the story was muck... computer generated fight leads boxing champ to challenge 60 year old... bit of a joke in fairness which is what the rocky franchise became after III.

He's a semi-decent filmmaker, having heard his ideas for yet another Rambo film, which were thankfully dumped, involving some mutant experiement or something I think he's just been very lucky so far. Expendables will be the true test but again my expectations are very low, cast of big names does not a good film make.

    What I'm looking forward to:

Shutter Island- Leo Di Caprio. The awesome trailar. Scoresese. Mark Ruffalo. Ted Levine. Anyone whos not looking forward to this is a nutcase.

Iron Man 2-Based on the quality of the first one, and cast added[eg. Sam Rockwell], its shaping up very well.

Robin Hood-Crowe and Scott can be hit and miss, but when they get it right its usually a great movie.

The Wolfman-Benicio del Toro and Emily Blunt in a genre film?Yes please.

Inception-Nolan has yet to make a bad film-his poorest effort, The Prestige, was still a very good film. Plus, great cast(Di Caprio, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy etc]

Daybreakers-Big Ethan Hawke fan, combined with Sam Neill and William Dafoe in a movie thats getting great early buzz? Count me in.

The Book of Eli-Denzel actioner/thriller, could go either way, but looks perfect stage for a typically brilliant Gary Oldman villian.

The Road-One of the best actors of this generation. A director with extreme promise. Nick Cave score. Fantastic source material. Need I say more?

Green Zone-Damon;Greengrass; no need to add to that.

The Expendables-Is it wrong I'm most looking forward to this for Eric Roberts?

The Tree of Life- Malic, Pitt, Penn, sounds like a knockout.

My Soul to Take-Big Craven fan.

I Love You Phillip Morris-As Galvasean said, Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor, nuff said.

    Top Story 3-Its pixar.

Clash of the Titans-Fiennes and Neeson. As Gods. Looks like a cheese-tastic film.

    I'm sure I forgot a few.

Shutter island - Scorcese and DiCaprio, a winning formula.

Iron Man 2 - The start of a snowball that will ultimately lead to The Avengers in 2012

Robin Hood - Crowe and Scott, should be a winning formula, but it has the potential to be ridiculous.

The Wolfman - Looks like an old school horror, looking forward to it.

Inception - Nolan. DiCaprio. Enough said.

Daybreakers - A real Vampire film hopefully.

The Book of Eli - Has potential, but could be another Denzel misfire.

The Lovely Bones - I had been looking forward to it, but then I saw the trailer which gives away the whole film. A trailer that robs the film of suspense, shocking. It's gotten poor reviews so far too.

The Road - Viggo Morteson and Omar from The Wire, should be fun.

The Expendables - looks horrific with excruciating dialogue, I'll still go see it though.

The A team - Sharlto Copley, Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper. I can see great chemistry there.

Jonah Hex - Simply because I'm routing for DC to produce a good film.

Clash of the Titans - Love the original and see a lot of potential in Sam Worthington.

    Kick Ass - Possibly

another Harry Potter - Possibly, simply for the spectacle.

    another Twilight - Possibly

    Predators - Hell yeah

Machete - HELL ****ING YEAH!!!!!!!!! :D

Hi. Just wondering if anyone has any recomendations on movies to look forward to seeing in 2010 ?
Any big mega blockbusters on the way ? Or good movies you have heard about ?
My favourites of last year were The Hurt Locker and Moon.

I'm really looking forward to seeing The Wolfman. The trailer looks very promising at least. I just hope it's not a feckin' CGI-fest in the vein of most recent Hollywood efforts. I wish directors of horror would realise that less is more sometimes.

Inception - Come on, this looks insanely good! Especially the fight in rotating corridor seen in the 1st trailer and the overturning city in the 2nd.

Shutter Island - Leo and Martin, can't go wrong there.

The Expendables - THIS is my most anticipated film. Especially the chuch scene with Bruce, Sly, and Arnie. I grew up on these guys' films.

Iron Man 2 - Didn't find the 1st film brilliant but it was far from bad, I'll watch this film anyways.

The Road - I like my bleak films, you can't have a happy apocalyptic film. Plus I like Viggo, solid actor.

Daybreakers - I'm not really a fan of vampires (unless it's Christopher Lee :D) but this actually seems like a nice twist on the genre, looks decent too. Good to see Sam Neill in a big film again.

Clash Of The Titans - Loved the original, was skeptical about this until I saw the 2nd trailer. Looks like they're treating this one seriously. I'm still unsure of Sam Worthington, though.

Robin Hood - Gladiator version 2 I hope not, but who doesn't like a good Robin Hood story?

The A Team - Regardless of quality I'm gonna have to see how they treat this, Liam Neeson puts me at ease and the rest of the cast seem to fit.

Predators - I'm not a fan of Rodriguez but I can't turn away from a Predator movie, even if it was the 2 horrible films that were AVP and AVP:R :(

Machete - Again, not big on Rodriquez but ya gotta love Danny Trejo.

The Book Of Eli - Not sure of this one, but I'll watch it anyways. Still can't get over how Denzel doesn't seem to age.

Green Zone - Very Bourne-like film in terms of pace and action (Naturally, same director and actor).........which isn't a bad thing at all.

I'm sure I've left out a good few but I'm hungover, gimme a break.

Hopefully, if Gary Oldman was right, Batman should start production this year. +1 on Ramo 5 too, he can never kill enough commies even if he has done a fine job of killing generations of them. :pac:

The makers of Star Wreck and Beyond The Iron Sky: have a 20 Most Anticipated List. Some on there I might like include Somewhere (dir: Sofia Coppola), The Expendables, Wall Street 2.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. latlely ive been finding it harder and harder to get enthused to go to the cinema.

the last jaunt being to see avatar which i enjoyed

as to whats coming out this year some heres a few ill go to see

    daybreakers.

im burned out on fecking vampires TBH but this looks like an interesting twist on it and at least its not a fecking crypto love story ala twilight. so i have some hope for it

    legion.

this looks to be a great laugh ala underworld . i dont expect it to win oscars but the idea of blood thirsty gun toting angels is certainly something you dont see everyday so this is a definete for me

percy jackson and the lightening theif

surprisingly , despite having the worst name going, it looks like itll be a great little actioner. sean bean as zeus, peirce brosnon , and uma thurman as a very sexy looking medusa. it helps that it seems to have a good sense of humour running through it (i loved the bit in the trailer about the pen/sword). also cant believe i never copped percy was short , or a homage too at least, to persius. doh.

    in the same vein.

    clash of the titans.

like others ive loved the original but ive not illusions this is a complete reimagining just stikcing to the guts of the story and it looks brilliant. neeson as zeus this time and looking every inch a god while worhtington makes a great arse kicking persius. this has a real 300 type vibe to it and i reckon itll be a great ride. its a def to see fro me.

    prince of persia.

im really kinda looking forward to this one. gylnhall looks the part and the story in the game is one of the few that is complex enough to make a decent film. at the very least a next gen version of sinbad. the trailer is fairly cool and they seem to have introduced elements from all three games so i expect a good ol fashioned special effects action romp with a bit of romance in it.

    iron man 2

the trailer looks great and im dying to see war machine. im not sure how good itll be as the first nailed it for a superhero film so in a sense it could go all tits up. but with the marvel films being directed to lead to avengers i have high hopes this will be as funny and action packed as the first. i also get the idea either sheild or someone else has nicked tonys designs judging by the begining and ends of the trailer which could lead to some intersing plot. anyway its a no brainer as probably the biggest film of this year from a blockbuster point of view

    others ill go see,

greenzone. looks good with intersting plot

kick ass. genuinly looks like a laugh, i liked wanted so seeing as this is from the same bloke it coujld be fun

the wolfman. love the look of it and the 18th centruy setting, even has agent smyth in it :)

the book of eli. the road looks too bleak to me so ill probably give denzels post apocaplyptic film a shot

alice in wonderland. just looks amazing. may not go though so its 50/50 as im not a mad fan of the director. could be another charlie and the choclate factory.

im sure theres others but these are just those off the top of me head.

Films I really want to see

The Lovely Bones - excellent book so cannot wait to see how it translates onto big screen

Daybreakers - Another new twist on vampire's but good buzz about it and I do enjoy the whole vampire thing anyway.

The Road - Again excellent book very powering and life affirming but parts of it very graphic and savage so should be great on screen.

Remember Me - Even though it is supposed to be a bit of a weepy there seems to be a good buzz about it and is more of a drama with a twist. Great cast with likes of Chris Cooper and Pierce Bronson and am looking forward to seeing Robert Pattinson in a different role and showing his acting ability.

Shutter Island - Good buzz about this as with alot of Martin Scorsese films.

Alice In Wonderland - Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter need I say more and in the hands of Tim Burton has potential to be great.

Twilight: Eclipse - As much as it is hated by a good percentage of population I have to admit I did enjoy the first 2 films and with David Slade at helm it should be a much darker film.

Harry Potter - Again should be a much darker film than previous films and battle scences should be epic.

Ok I know I am missing a good few but I cannot call anymore to mind at the moment.

Ah, but there's a certain amusement to derive from the less-than-spectacular attempt at spelling that's contained therein.

As for the film...neh. I should be in the right target audience for something like this (I loved Crank & Crank 2, for example) but having read some of the comic, I'll be passing on it.
