I've just read that Jessica Simpson and Billy Corgan have been going out together since November. They are two people i'd never have put together, but they seem to be happy out (for now anyway!).

I thought it might be interesting to discuss other celeb couples past and present that would appear to be polar opposites.

Don't know if this counts since they have split now but never did get Madonna and Guy Ritchie. She obviously picked him up when she was going through her "British " phase.

I think Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin set them up..Gwyneth probably wanted an american friend to play with!! But I agree they never really seemed a likely couple...never saw them looking happy & in love!!
