    Hey all,

Just wanted to let you all know that we are moving from our humble beginnings in Tallaght to a much more convenient and spacious premises in Sandyford Industrial estate. With over 3,000 square feet of training space we are very excited about bringing what we do to a very convenient location.

Only 800 metres walk from the Luas stop and in the heart of the industrial estate we feel its the ideal location for our customers both existing and new. We plan on running a open month for January at a set time to let people see a completely different approach to "gym's".

It is located here (sexy photos coming soon) and will be officially open on the 4th of January but as always Tom will be happy to meet you before that and show you around from the 30th.

I know lots of us make the promise this time of the year to get in shape. Please give us a trial if you're thinking about joining a gym this upcoming year and you'll find we can provide everything you need in a great premises.

    Thanks guys,
    Colm

Boo moved from a convenient location for me to an inconvenient one. That being said I've been saying I'd pop up to you for about a year and a half or something and haven't bothered.

Best of luck with the new premises, Sandyford is a much better location than were you where.

    Hey guys,

Thanks for all the well wishes, we are very excited about the move. We are seperate to Michael's place but would encourage everyone to see and meet the people running both and decide which one fits your needs better.

Please don't forget about our invitational on the 6th of February, these have been great fun and always a big showing from boardsies.

    Thanks,

    Tom

    Good Luck.

Do you expect a turf war with Crossfit Dublin?
Fran-offs down a dark alley like some sort of superfit westside story?:D

Thanks for all the well wishes so far guys. Right now we're in the middle of all that fun cleaning, moving, building and tearing down which needs to be done. Look forward to having a bunch of boardsies come visit us over the next while.

I find it strange that you would move to Sandyford a stones throw from another crossfit affiliate which set up there less than 2 months ago ....

    Why though?
They are established, they have a good crowd and they found a premises that suited them.

You can't think about other peoples business when you are developing your own.
Looks to me Like CFD have a different business plan, and its up to them to do it well.

While you are at it: any progress or anything on the Dublin 2 Affiliate idea you floated?

This is quite close to me (walking distance actually).

I'm confused though, are there several different Crossfits in Dublin run by rival companies??

Crossfit is a fitness method, Head quartered in California.
They are sort of big now and people can learn to be instructors and set up their own gyms which they can then affiliate with Crossfit, allowing them to use the name Crossfit and train people using Crossfits methods.

These Affiliate gyms are owned by the gym owner and are businesses by themselves. Its a little like franchising but also not. As fate/favourable facilities would have it, two affiliates are now operating in Sandyford. This seems to happen a lot in the states but may not necessarily be a bad thing.

It might be worth your while checking one of them out Grandmaster.

Nobody is a rival, there is plenty of business for everyone involved and we can all find our own niche

What I would recommend is dropping in and trying out both premises and more importantly coaching staff and then making the decision on which one fits your needs better

Well affiliating allows you to use the name, but I was using "crossfit methods" before I'd ever heard of crossfit.
