Nuke Boost

Is it only me or isnt this happening more and more often. Everyday I receive at least 4 or 5 pm asking me to join them. And now, almost every 3 games there is someone doing it... I love ruin it for them though, and specially the pm I receive after I have done calling me a fag....

Still, I think multiplayer is loosing it, there are more and more cheaters... I wonder why dont they just play amond themselves...

I thinks its when two people from opposing teams will go to a secluded part of the map, then one player will keep using tactical insertion to respawn in the same place, allowing the other player to quickly spam kill for a nuke.

Never seen it myself, although I'm sure some people are sad enough to use it.

Normally after receiving the message you will agree to meet him/her in a place far from the action, then, one of the two kills the other one (some times to speed it up and look less suspicious it can be even more than 2), using a insertion flare he or they keep respawing close to you and you kill him again, in a few minutes you will have enought kills to get the nuke... they also call it nuke boosting...

I have seen it before in free for all but now is common practice also in domination and sabotage

Normally they get me the first time but is easy to spot when you see someone with 30 kills and 0 deaths, normally a person with so many kills is likely to have killed you at least a couple of times but you quickly notice that you didnt even know he was playing, then you look at the number of kills on the other team and see that there is a guy with 2 kills and 28 deaths, then is easy to do the math, on the next match you keep an eye on them and follow one of them, it will take you to where the other/s are hiding...

Today I have played maybe 10 times and had to suffer from it at least 6 times, and all different nicknames...

ive only ever seen a nuke once online...and the guy got it properly.....
not mainly people have it attached....most people just have uav, predator harrier strike and the chopper youu control...you dont exactly get 25 kill streaks every few games

I have seen the nuke a few times, you wouldnt normally have it unless you are an absolute beast or a cheater... like you said u normally go for more accessible killstreaks, like harrier or ac130...

I am perfectly sure there are people more than capable of getting a nuke in a proper way, as I said I have seen it many times, no long ago I saw a guy winning the game with a 88-3 ratio

But with a twist. The boosters were also kind of drawing others in and killing them. When I first came across them all i saw was a green tactical insertion and a green name over guys head. Then he shot me!!!!!! Or so it seemed - when i watched the kill cam what i could see was that the guy on my team was hiding the enemy guy and jumping out of the way when i had my gun pointing away and the enemy guy whacked me. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO was I pissed off. Anyhow i went back - whacked the enemy guy and then the guy on my team starting jumping in my face and shooting to distract me and next theing the other guy had respawned somewhere behind me and he whacked me. OOOOOOOOOOOOOO bastards. I didn't get time to go back because the guy on my team then triggered a nuke. But I did file a complaint against the guy on my team (couldn't remember the other guys name). F**kers. I realised after that this had happened in the previous game too I just hadn't copped it. Anyhow - when I checked the guys profile its boasted about 12 nukes. F**kin cheating idiot. 12 nukes you cheated to get

Ive only seen two nukes, both on Afghan, one was a legit nuke, the guy was running around killing everything, he was very good and the other was a few guys boosting, drove me mad, the guy on my team only set off the nuke with about 2 minutes left in sabotage so by the time he got the nuke and by the time he set it off he had about a 28/21 KD ratio.

nuke boosters really piss me off. The other day in a free for all I looked at the scoredboards for the tell-tale sign and there was one guy on 20-0 and another on 0-20. Regardless I played on and I actually started to win, the nuke booster saw this, panicked and just set off his nuke. It really annoys me in games where I could have actually won.

I have seen plenty of legit nukes though, you just need to play strategically, cautiously and dont camp/defend one area for too long.

Nukes shouldn't be in the game at all IMO, it's cool for the first two then it's just stupid ruins a good game usually if you ask me

Yeah I agree with you there, its all about showing off.. Why end a game before the end when it is more fun to play it out?

This has happened me a few times.It happened in FFA and the two lads tried it on every map.I knew what they were up to straight away so I kept finding them and giving them a semtex.They got up and left then

I have witnessed three nukes. Two of them were legit and both guys had the decency to wait until the last 30 seconds of the game to set them off. The third, however was some guy cheating on Quarry. He was on my team and kept going to the same spot with a guy on the other team. It happened 2 or 3 days after the release and I didn't have the cop-on to figure it out at the time.

I saw 2 doing it recently. Noticed that someone was respawning right beside a player. Checked score and one player had 17 kills very early. I went into hiding with sniper rifle. Waited until they got to 24 and...boom...headshot :P

The killcam would've shown me just waiting with their head in my sights! Take that wasters!

AFAIK they dont count at all as I have dropped a predator missile on to a group of people and never counted towards my next level kill streak so I pressume its the same for all kill streaks.

It backfired one time when a guy rounded a corner, saw me doing it, did the same to me and killed me before I got a chance to kill his teammate. His killcam was hilarious lol.

What I'm wondering here is what's in it for the guy who gets killed 25 times? Anyway, i've seen a bunch of nubs running around with nuke emblems the last few days. It really pisses me off all this boosting.

the way i see this boosting is these players doing it are useless at the game and this is the only single way they are getting any bit of worth out of it, but by boosting the game will get old very quickly and alot of these wasters will eventually go off to the next "big multiplayer" game. In a few months this game will be alot easier to play. At least i bloody hope so :mad:

Haven't come across this just yet, I'll look out for it though. Got my first 25-0 kill streak last night, I didn't realise until I actually got the nuke. It was a good feeling

I don't understand why people even play the game just to kill his mate over and over and then end the game everytime in 2 minutes. Why bother ?

i seen two guys doing it on derail last night. about 12 both of them.

i got frst blood on a guy running up the left side of the map (looking from town to trainyard) to my guy in a corner...i didnt take notice at first but i got a 9 kill streak killing him 4 times. then he killed me and i realised.

so i went over to the corner. my allie kille him and he put down a flare......so i waited and put my scope on chest height. i shot him the next time he respawned. and they tried again a few times with him running up but i just hid and sniped him.


i got called jealous and was told to get my own spot

I've only saw this once, 2 lads were 20-0 and 0-20, I thought it couldn't be right so I went looking for them killed them both and waited for the guy to spawn again and killed him, destroyed his tactical insertion too... Didn't even know this was called nuke boosting!?

One guy messaged me asking how I got my nuke, I presumed he saw me get it a few days ago. So I told him what class and perks I was using at the time. Then I noticed he was in the same game as me and couldn't have known I got a nuke seeing as I haven't gotten one in weeks. I presume he was getting at Nuke boost.

He then asked me how old I was.

On to block list he went...

Only came across my first nuke boosters the other night in Team Deathmatch in Karachi. Luckily the guy going for the nuke was on the opposite team so I stopped his streak and when the match was over he was completely raging at me over the headset. It was hilarious.

Am I the only one that actually enjoys playing agaist boosters. It makes a change from just having the best k:d ratio. As soon as I see somebody is boosting I just make it my misson to kill them and ruin their killstreak as often as possible, don't care about anyone else playing, they can live, I've got tunnel vision. I find nothing more satisfying in the game than pissing off the cheaters, they usually message me abuse about it or plead with me to stop for a game but I glory in it.

Just yesterday I was playing against 2 kids, can't have been more than 14, but the eejits didn't mute the rest of us so I was able to hear their plans 'lets meet behind the helicopter' 'you know the shed at the top of the map' 'I'm at burger stand inside the terminal'....easy pickings, in the end up they had to leave and try a different server.

Although in saying that, the novelty will probably wear off soon but until then, keep them coming

You mean in two consecutive games I presume? But yeah, chances are fairly high it was boosting. Either that or you happened to get thrown in against someone like SeaNanners etc.

Yeah, FFA is really hit and miss now with the amount of people boosting. It is great fun to hunt them down though.

Always seem to see them on Estate, in the games room of the house, out by the shed or by the power station place.

I stopped one particular pair twice in one game. My favourite bit was chucking a stun grenade into the games room, knifing them both and then killing the guy who tactically reinserted again.

Got nuked 4 times in 4 games by some pair of cnuts who were boosting. It happened twice in Rundown, and once in Estate, both maps which I'm unfamiliar with. Also happened in Karachi and can't believe I didn't find them.

So, I went on to Youtube and got a few hints for hunting them down. Was playing Rundown again later and found them in the petrol station. The guy had 27 kills and 1 death, so I'm assuming he was very close to his nuke. They were raging at me for killing them. Anyway, for what it's worth, here are some observations / suggestions about boosting.

1. Seems to be worse at weekends - maybe more kids are playing on Saturdays and Sundays?
2. Create a class of weapons designed to hunt them down, and make sure SitRep is one of your chosen perks, as this helps identify tactical insertions.
3. Watch the videos on Youtube where people find them and kill them. It's good to know where their likely hiding spots are.
4. Having a good anti-aircraft gun is advisable because they will more than likely be calling in Harriers and Pavelows. Also, it would be immensely satisfying to take the boosters out with a stinger.
5. Keep an eye on the bottom left of the screen. Boosters are always shooting their mates in the head, so if you see the headshot icon appearing, pay attention to the names and if the same people keep coming up, you know they're boosting.
6. In the pre-game lobby, scroll through your opponents and see who has the nuke emblem. If two or more people in the same lobby have the nuke emblem, there's a good chance they are boosters.

next time accept it, let him get 24 kills then, bham!! commando knife his ass, delete him, and stick him on your block list, which, if hes anything like me will piss him off no end, i use to hate when people messaged me abuse or called me a cheater then stuck me on ignore before I had a chance to respond and defend myself, I'd imagine it would be similar here.
