    Hi,

I know this has been posted a few times before but was just looking for some updated info since some of the related posts are about a yr old.

Does anyone know the average wage of a fitness instructor in the connaught region only.
i am completing the ncef level 1 course and hoping to get a full or part time job once i complete it and then hopefully go on to do the peronal trainer course.

i have seen some info that the wages are around €10 - €12.50 per hour (is this before or after tax) and is this just basic pay (not including pay you would get for doing class e.g. step, aerobics etc.)

    thanks,

    nm

€10 - 12.50 would be about right and that would be before tax. The majority of gyms don't pay you extra to teach classes.

If you freelance instruct you could be looking at around 20e per class in some gyms. Like if you got qualified spinning and teach in a few gyms you may be looking at 20 an hour class, same with some other classes too.
