seeing as 5star has decided it's traditional for me to start these things...

    1. I will go back to tipping beggars outside casinos for karmic reasons

    2. I will have a winning year (unlike this one)

    er, that's it

    1. Qualify for the Irish Open.
    2. Grind up a 10k+ bankroll online.

    That'll do.

I see the same 10 lines over and over and over and over and over. 60,000 times a month. 2,000 times a day, the same lines. Over and over. Finally, some time in 2010, I am going to take the hour it would require to consign to memory what, on average, these lines mean. The aim would be to see a steep decrease in my suckrate. There are 8,750 hours in 2010. I need one of those hours for this task. It's a tough goal, but I'm determined to make it happen.

    1. Make 30k from online MTT & SNG (including rake back)
    2. Make 20k from online HU Cash (including rake back)
    3. Try to qualify for some nice live tournaments and dont get too bored! Try to cash nicely in one of them as I always fail :(
    4. Play only 4 nights a week!!!

Honestly, my passion for the game has waned over the past year. Poker has eaten far too much into my life and has affected all areas of my life (probably negatively in all areas besides financially).

My only real goal is to not fall off the wagon entirely. Grinding is not where I want to be at the moment but I can see myself wanting to give it another shot down the line. Now, I'm all too aware that poker is constantly evolving which would make it difficult to take a prolonged break and be able to come back as a winning player. Therefore I intend on:
    - keep up to date with the theory here and on 2+2
    - not let poker destroy my life
    - play less
    - what little I play, try turn a profit.

No goals as such-poker wise try and do my best everytime I play and do the donkeywork needed to have a shot. I have a genuine feeling that 2010 is going to be a decent year poker wise.

be playing hu 200NL with a deep bankroll and concentrate more on satellites than trying to move up levels. play io, masters, killarney, all ireland heads up. win wsop package. ft 3 fitz eom. Get 1.1 in college and if i dont have a good business idea by september its time to bite the bullet and start the career. 3 amateur boxing matches. learn 8 game strategy especially stud... it will be back! dont play any more late night live 1/2.

    Post more please!

    My goals:

    1) Move up properly to 400NL and above, not just shots
    2) Get some good live tourney scores. I've never had a good one and have burned the edges multiple times, so this is the year! Play more festivals anyway.
    3) Put more hours into studying other regs games
    4) Play WSOP & IO

    Other things

1 - To try and put 100% concentration into the entire game.
2 - To never ever play online.
3 - Stop wanting to kill the messy drinkers at the cash tables at festivals.
4 - To show some class and stop going into a 15 min tourette like berating of players when I get a horrible call.
5 - To shut the f.... up for 5 mins so that players at the table realise that I am basically a tight player, and, the fact the I talk alot stops giving them the impression that I am involved in more hands than is actully true (thanks croc!) thus receiving horrible wide range calls!
    6 - To shut the f... up :(

6a - to be the BPII once again;)

Well with xmas party season in full swing and only a couple of weeks to the new year I figure it's time we had a thread to put down our goals and and aims for 2010. While winning the WSOP by sucking out on Phil Hellmuth is still the dream, I'm going to try to keep my poker goals somewhat achievable and realistic.

    Poker:

    1) Play on average 25K hands per month online. Consciously and consistently try to improve by studying my stats, reading and discussing theory and posting hand histories.

    2) Sat into a couple of big live tournaments and maintain concentration levels while playing them.

    3) Stop playing live € 200NL until properly rolled for it.

    4) The overall aim is to be properly rolled for and winning player at 200 NL by the end of 2010.

    Non-poker:

    1) Excercise far more often, take up swimming and running again and continue playing basketball.

    2) Pass tax exams in April.

    3) Start reading regularly again.

Have a couple more non-poker ones but making them public may not be the best idea :o

Edit: 4) Possibly go to Specsavers as I missed the thread already started by El Stuntman!

That was my 2009 objective, and it has been achieved, so I'm going for the same overall goal this year.

    A few more specific wants:

    1. Keep my job.
    2. Qualify for the IO again.
    3. Go to Vegas in the summer if job is still on the go.

    Non-poker:

    3. Learn to cook.

    Poker:

    1. Quit live cash
    2. Grind 200K hands online and be in profit.
    3. Qualify for the IO
