Sadness hits us all

After a lot of misery & sadness I'm left wondering about life.
This isn't a personal issues post but I would like to know how people cope with the general ****e life likes to throw at us all?
The more witty the better. Believe me when I say it can't get much worse, but in a very weird way, after a lot of months absent from boards I'm looking forward to the crazy responses.
Crazy is all I have left people, so hit me.

if im feeling down I normally throw on DVD that I like funny film or even go on net and turn on some comedy.

If you really think life is bad then you should look at the sub fourm in after hours and go to "Photos that shook the world" you will see photos of people lives being changed forever quite lot for the worse.

No matter how bad things are they may be much worse.

    Sh*t happens!

No matter what kinda stuff is happening to you, there's worse happening to other people.

Just look at Peter Andre! He's been through some bad stuff lately, i mean, what was he thinking?

Ah f&ck it, I lost a close relative & can't be bothered with the personal issues because they can be too sad at times.
I really just wanted to tell someone, anyone.
But I wanted a bit of humour. Strange, I know.

Sorry dude, i've had a tough year, i've actually lost 3 relatives this year and my mate was murdered less than 2 weeks ago.

Life can be sh1t but, you have to realise that life will ALWAYS be sh1t! And you gotta make the most of the good times!

Oh, and boobs are good, they always cheer me up!

I've had a lets just say a difficult life.

People telling me that there were others worse of them me, never helped me,

First because it didn't make my life any easier or fixed anything thinking that others were also having a hard time.

Second, because how do I know they are having a harder time, how do people know that there are people out there worse of then you.

Pain, sadness, happiness, they are all relative, each person experiences are different and one can not and should not ever compare bad experiences and tell someone to get over it or if you think that's bad, try this.

Some people can take and take and take and they always seam able to get up and go, others find it a lot more difficult to cope with what life through at them.

I chat a lot on the internet when things are going wrong, try to help others in order to forget my own problems, try to remember the good things I still have, the good times and hold on to my dreams, even those i know will not come true.

And I just keep hoping tomorrow will be different, tomorrow I will find a way to fix it.

hang in there, no matter how hard things are, they always get better, life is full of up's and down's, not just down's

Listen, is there anyway you can scrounge a couple of bob together and head to Lanzarote for a few days. Believe you me, spending some time in the warmth and sunshine, watching topless European babes losing their inhibitions on the beach is a definite mood changer.

Would like to clarify that I'm very much female, not male.
Also if I started drinking now I probably wouldn't know when to stop.
But as a poster hinted at, things ain't that bad.
That's the hard thing, knowing what I have gone through in the last while, I know there are people going through worse. That's hard to deal with because I don't think it can get much worse so my heart is breaking for others.
Anyway some of the comments made me smirk. Which is the most I've done in a long time so well done!!!!!!

For you, OP. I got a giggle off this, but I'm childish anyway :)

I'm pronouncing Shinnecock as Shinycock :pac:

U.S. Clears Way to Recognition for Shinnecock Tribe

    By DANNY HAKIM
    Published: December 15, 2009

The Obama administration said Tuesday that the Shinnecock Indians on Long Island meet the criteria for federal recognition, signaling the end of a 30-year court battle and clearing a path for the tribe to pursue its plans for a casino in New York City or its suburbs.

The announcement all but assures that the 1,066-member Shinnecock Indian Nation will receive formal federal recognition, though a public-comment period of up to six months must be held before the final order is issued.
    ......
    ......

“This recognition comes after years of anguish and frustration for many members of our Nation, living and deceased,” Randy King, chairman of the Shinnecock trustees, :pac: said in a statement, adding, “Perhaps this recognition will help some of our neighbors better understand us and foster a new mutual respect.”

    Contd.

Ok, my reply is far too serious for AH, but here it goes.

Pick one thing in your life that makes you unhappy and change it. Doesn't have to be a big thing. In fact, I'd suggest starting off small.

I've been to hell and back, so I know what I'm talking about. Beating depression starts with a small step.

I've watched them a lot. And I am still picking up on things I didn't get the first few times. Phoenix Nights is a great pick me up for me also.

Best thing to do is head out somewhere and hang out with mates!

Ok heres what you do, go to tesco or any local shop, go to the drink fridge the ones that hold the 500ml coke bottles shake the Sh!te out of a few random 500ml fizzy drinks drink cans work too. Then go out of the shop and wait for a person to buy one and open it more than likey when they leave the shop.

I used to do it in my old job, good times:D
