Saw a few people looking for a gymboss or something similar that is easy to use. There is a app for the ipod that is free and works pretty well,

I downloaded and found it handy. Just search tabata in the app store

What if you are diametrically opposed to Apple?

    Also

I tend not to bring phones when I go training.

    Also

I Can you change the intervals?
A lot of them you can't.

You can make your own timer mp3's very easily. I did before. I can put them up for download if anyone wants them.

Ok, you can download the mp3's I made from here. (4MB)

3 beeps to start a round, 1 beep to signify 30 seconds left, 3 beeps to end a round then a gap at the end (for rest). Tabata is 20 seconds round, 10 seconds rest. The files in the zip archive are:

    2mRound1mBreak.wav.mp3
    2mRound30sBreak.mp3
    3mRound1mBreak.wav.mp3
    3mRound30sBreak_30s_pips.mp3
    3mRound30sBreak.mp3
    5mRound1mBreak.wav.mp3
    5mRound30sBreak.wav.mp3
    tabatha.wav.mp3

Ignore the .wav bit. They were .wav files before I encoded them to mp3. Yes I misspelled tabata.

    Enjoy.
