I have one of these benches I got a number of years ago and would agree that they are not that great. It is ok for a normal bench press, but as the posts that hold the barbell are not extendable, then you can not do proper incline bench pressing and the bench does not decline. Also I think the leg extension/curl attachment is a little gimmicky.

However if you want to get this bench for starting off and are minding your funds, then you are welcome to the one I have for free. You will have to collect it though. It's been in my garage unused for a couple of years and is a little dusty. I will check it to see if it is still in ok condition and update this post.

Then as I said, if it is ok and you want it you are welcome to it.

    Best Regards,

    M

Fair play to you. That's very sound.

That bench will have the same restrictions as the first one you linked to (the one I also have), however the price when you factor in the bars, weights, pull-up bar etc is not too bad and you might be able to haggle a little on the price as the post is almost 3 weeks old, so doesn't look like he is getting many offers ;).

Also I have checked the bench in my garage and apart from a little dusty, which I can sort out, it is in pretty good condition. Never got much use anyway :o

If you want to take it, then PM me and I can get it ready and give you contact details etc. I live on the north side of Dublin, close to Donaghmede/Raheny.

    Thanks Kannie.

Better to see it with someone who might get some use from it rather than laying around in my garage gathering dust.
