I have been training 3 or 4 times a week forthe past 3 or 4 years or so. I have been in good shape and eat healthy and little to no drink.

However about 2 -3 months ago i had to take a break from the gym to travel. My diet ended up going back to a 'normal' diet (realistically not watching what i eat etc..). Since ive gotten back ive only gone back to the gym a handful of times. I can lift close to what i had before but i cannot do as many reps. Ive also noticed im starting to build a little bit of fat around my stomache again.

I suppose obvious question. Is it going to likely take me another year to get back to where i was before... or whats the normally (i know everyones diff) timeframe to get back your fitness level, look as toned as you did etc...

    thanks

From my experience I would definitely say it wont take a year at all. I was out of the gym this year from May to the end of September because of an injury and my gym membership expiring. Diet was very poor and did practically no training. First day I went back I was benching way way way less than before, but over the last 8-10 weeks, my lifts are all back to the same level or higher than before and weight/measurements/etc. are the same or better than before. And a year ago it was the same, another injury and no gym membership meant I was out of the gym for months and my diet became poor, but was back to normal after a couple of months.

Just get your diet back in check and dont be demorialized.

    Good luck
