Are ASOS own brand clothes good quality/fit/etc?

I've only every bought branded items from the website, have always been wary of buying ASOS clothes for some reason.

I've bought quite a few ASOS own brand pieces. Most have been lovely but a few have been awful quality. They're great about refunds though.

I got something similar in bershka on Saturday, but it's only knee length. Doesn't look too sheer in this pic, but it really is! And very flow-y too :)

Has anyone ordered from Dorothy Perkins during the Christmas period?

I placed an order on 20th December (was hoping to have a dress for New Year's) and I still haven't received it. It said on the website I should receive my order no later than 28th December but I'm not sure if that was an automatically generated estimated delivery time or not. Obviously with the Christmas period I wouldn't expect the delivery times to be as normal at all.

I e-mailed them today just to see what the story is. Just wondering if anyone else has ordered from them over the past week or so?

Pixiebean I have never had on time or quick delivery from DP, on average I get stuff 3 weeks, lots of unanswered emails and futile calls later :( Totally put me off ordering from them.

to do with online ordering and delivery, bought a jacket for my dad for christmas on the new debenhams.ie, hadn't received it on the afternoon of the 23rd even though Id ordered it the previous week and a few days before the christmas delivery cut-off point so I rang them and they told me that it had been 'lost in transit' and offered me a refund. I wanted the item not the refund so got them to check stock in branches in Dublin to no avail so accepted the refund and legged it down towm where I spent €50 more to get a similar (but nicer in fairness) item in Timberland. I was no sooner back in the office when the courier service rang to say they were at my apartment to deliver the item!!! arrghhh!!!! told them to bring it back (debenhams are doing free returns) and rang debenhams again. No apology and they recorded it as a return (got the updated email)

Anyone know any sites that have different kind of clothes? I'm sort of looking for something like Jeremy Scott would have out. A printed trouser for a man seems impossible to find if your not living in London or New York!

Hey guys. I wad wondering what the sizing is like for all saints? I notice they only go up to size 14. I would be about a 16, but still working on losing weight, do I'm kinda hoping that a 14 is possible in a few months. Saw a really awesome dress in all saints so just kinda curious, what's their sizing like?

^ All Saints clothes are massive. Well, for jumpers/jackets and t-shirts anyway. I am usually an 8-10 and take a 6 in All Saints. Sometimes a 6 is even too big. I love it though because the arms are usually really long...made for tall people! I don't know about the dresses, though. I have tried on one or two and they seemed quite true too size, but they were very fitted. Depends on the style I guess!

ok, that's good, 'cos I am tall :D but I'm generally about a size 16 and they only go up to 14. I've been googling it, and it seems the dresses can run a bit small or are a bit tight..

going by the all saints website sizing guide, the measurements off the sizing guide look about right, so going by that I might fit a size 14, but there probably wouldn't be much wiggle room.

    anyway, this is the dress

    WKJ205-5-1.jpg

so I'm all kinds of holy crap I want! over it right now...

the other thing is, I've read that all saints knitwear seems to run quite large, and this dress is under knitwear on their site. so I'm kinda in two minds about it.

although I have managed to successfully lose weight this month (I seemed perpetually stuck at the same weight for ages, but managed to finally start losing weight again) and I'm going to be trying quite hard to lose a bit more before the summer. so all going well, I hope to go down a size.

I'm just not sure if it'll fit :o

Why don't you try it on Links? Or are you planning on buying online?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,944 ✭✭✭✭Links234

I was thinking of buying online, yeah. Also, to tell the truth, I'd be too nervous to try it on in the shop. :o

Well then buy two and return if they don't fit. That's what I do for stuff on ASOS.

No you're not! I'm the same height as you and I've ordered dresses off Asos. Returned most of them though because they are absolutely shite quality and usually look horrible in person :/

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,944 ✭✭✭✭Links234

hmm, I'm just shy of 6 foot tall

I love the dress, Links! The whole thing is really cool, especially love the corset-ish bit at the top :) Always see some fab dresses on All Saints but never know what I would wear them to. And they can be very expensive...

    here we go: http://www.allsaints.com/women/dresses/allsaints-partha-dress/?colour=5&category=26

I really love it. it's pretty rare I see something that I really like, my tastes are a bit hard to pin down and I never really see anything in Ireland that I go for.

Almost all I've tried have been too short at the back. The front looks ok, but I don't feel comfortable in the back.
