Religion is a horrible subject isn't it :( I hate with a passion, but at least i won't have an exam for it for the LC!

Best are probably Maths and History and worst are Irish and English.

You hate Religion??? I think it's a really interesting subject and I'm not religious at all!
I love learning about the histories, traditions and practices of the other major world religions (Judaism, Islam etc.), I also like learning about the 'Question of Faith' (changing religions, atheism, humanism, agnosticism, science vs religion etc...)
However my fave subject would have to be Geography and my worst would probably be Art ( I hate practical work...!)

You don't have to write an essay on Morality- you get 5 other, much easier options..

You see, my religion teacher is a nutjob and can't even teach! Plus she teaches everything from a catholic point of view which makes it incredibly biased and boring.

I see what you mean.. That would be boring.
Imagine trying to teach Islam from a catholic's pt. of view, that would be confusing!!

She didn't really teach Muslim that badly, but would the morality section it's all totally catholic! I mean I would like to hear Islam or Hinduism's stance on abortion, for example, but it's all completely biased. But I suppose going to a catholic school doesn't help me n that perspective much either!

Yes, but they have an 'ethos', so it's only to be expected they teach from a Catholic Church viewpoint.

The sooner the Church loses its grip on primary and secondary schools in this country, the better.

Yeah, I do nderstand that there is to be some influence by the catholic church on the school. I suppose what I'm trying to say is Religion would be a lot more likeable if it wasn't being taught is such a biased way.

We are doing morality at the minute and we have to see every religion's pt. Of view on moral issues, even athiest's views on them - which makes it longer but waay more interesting
