OP dont use the kettle to boil the milk, it will make a mess.

Instead just put a lighter until the carton for a minute or two.

Does it have to be hot? Would 'warm' be ok? If so, just get the milk directly from the cow.

Look, just boil up WATER in the kettle, pour said water into bowl/basin, put the milk into a pyrex jug, sit the jug in wherever you've put the water - leave it for about ten minutes or so, stirring occasionally. . . . .don't put milk in the kettle, unless you plan on getting a new one for Christmas!

Bring the carton of milk to bed with you, should be nice and warm when you wake up in the morning.

Have ye not got a microwave? Stick your cold milk & cereal in a bowl, place it in the microwave, stick it on for as much as ye want and hey presto.

Now that is a very clever idea! most helpful reply to OP question methinks!

Yea, warm but sour I would suspect!

I have done that, not because my hob wouldn't work, just because I wanted to see if it really worked and it does! Only thing was you have to boil the kettle a couple of times to properly cook the eggs!:D

you could heat it on your car engine. There's actually a whole cookbook for cooking this way while you take road trips.

    Make your own cooker.
If you have a metal tube ,like for tomato puree, slice off both ends,so now you have a rectangle.
Now on one side only, cut out a square in the middle, the entire width of the tube.
Now bend the tube at the square,so you have 3 squares on lying down (with the square you cut out facing down) and 2 squares, one on each side sticking straight up in the air.
Now get a tissue ,the ones in those little packets are best, and put it through the square you cut out, until they come out the ends, about a centimetre or 2 should suffice.
Now get an old tin ,large enough to fit the tube inside ,and taller than the sticky up bits with the tissue sticking out.
Pour some oil into the tin.
Wait a few minutes and it will soak up the tissue, then light.
If it's too smoky ,your wick is too high, bring it down a bit.
This will suffice for your cooking needs.

Whatever you do OP, don't let it boil over. Tis a bítch to clean up:(

warm it on a rad. If you have heating that is. There's every chance you don't by the sound of it though. Warm milk is the business, put some honey in it too.

    1. Pour milk in glass.
    2. Boil some water in kettle.
    3. Pour boiling water into a bowl.
    4. Sit glass containing milk into centre of bowl.
    5. Wait.
