tan ak mag

does any 1 know where i might find tan colored ak mags preferably full metal or would i have to get them sprayed?

Heresy aside.... The only tan mags I can think of are the tan plastic waffle mags. Although you can buy yourself a can of Tan Krylon and spray them yourself... Its really not hard enough to warrant getting someone to do it for you, or cost wise.

I got a box of Mag brand waffel syle AK mags in tan. They were pretty good but very ugly. Have since got rid of them :rolleyes:

They are bakelite or "orange" not tan. Still i would suggest just going for standerd bakelite magizines if it's a 74.

No its a jg full metal tactical 47 and i have replace the butt-plate with a element tan rubber,tan ca rail covers and fab tactical front rail grip so all i need is a tan metal mag but i think ill admit defeat and just spray some of the mags i have.

Lefty- I must admit I was taking the piss, waiting for the Gucci loving MagPul Whores (lol Richie...) To come kick my culchie ass for dissing the Tan. I just dont see everyones obsession with tan gear- it seriously is bloody ugly! Black is the way to go... Or silver. Or at least a camo print. But tan? Whats the point? It seems to me that having a tan weapon is some kinda 'elite status symbol' here. Makes me laugh.

its nothing to do with status,it just that most real manufactures are making weapons in tan or tan and black and realism is a major part of airsoft.

Ah. SO tan is just realisn except... SOmehow better? IIRC most M4 carbines are black, yet I see a slew of tan sprayed ones. Real military use standard, issued parts, not their own MagPul stuff. I still dont see the point here... Then again, my mates homemade 'UAV' has no point either. Except looking cool. My Telesniper project (Martin is working on the programming) has no point. Except looking, and being, cool. So I suppose I should apologise for complaining about a mere colour. Sorry fellas!

Real Soldier's in some unit's are allowed use their own weapon acessories.
If you look at some pictures of American troops in Iraq they have Magpul accessories on their firearms. Also, again some troops are allowed spraypaint their firearms in camo schemes.

I never mentioned soldiers of any sort if you read my post i said manufacturers are producing weapons with tan rail covers,stocks and other parts and its just having the ability to custom the gun like you would custom anything else to a way that will be unique to me and the games im playing in.

Realism if you're fighting in the desert.... In airsoft, 'Tan' is nearly all status. 99% of airsofters will never play in the arid environment that Tan kit is designed to blend in with. It's bought to look 'gucci' and 'elite'.... ironic really, as in temperate environments they stick out more because of it making them look a right mong.

Well....

A decent gearbox is making it shoot better, a different stock helps you aim better.... Not gucci, practical. (Hate the broad use of that term here)

Painting it tan is just like buying a pair of boots you absolutely hate because Victoria Beckham has them, and thus, it must somehow make you into a vacuous celebrity also... Each to thier own, but there's next to no practical aplication of it outside arid zones.
