[MW2] Favourite Maps??

Just wondering what are peoples favourite maps for certain modes.

FFA = Rust
TDM = Wasteland
Domination = Inasion/Highrise
HCTDM = Karachi

Anyone else's opinions??

i feel though that there arent nearly enough maps for the amount of game modes

Yeah, i like Favela aswell, i like to run around the rooftops with my P90 and Akimbo Rangers trying to blow the **** out of people who are sniping, can be fun.

My favorite would be wasteland for snipeing. Thermal scope, cold blooded and ninja.

I hate sniping on wasteland, it's quite boring sometimes, i tend to find alot of people in the middle of the cave.

Carentan is decent

My favourite map would probably have to be Scrapyard or Favela, followed closely by Karachi and Skidrow. I just can't get enough of close quarters (until someone jumps around the corner with Akimbo 1887's/Ranger's :mad:)

Sub Base isn't half bad either, apart from those people who will camp on the rooves (and doorways at either side) of the buildings between Point B and Point C (can't think of how to describe it any better than with Domination points :P)

Yeah Karachi Sucks.

Derail would be my favorite, good mix of modes available. Sniping, Assault, single shot all work well here. Rundown also qualifies here

Afghan is good for running battles. Skidrow similar, although the name confounds me, it doesnt look that down and out to me?

Wasteland is ok but depends on the teams.

Invasion has its moments.

Estate is good in theory, in practise though it leaves a lot to be desired

Highrise/favela/Quarry all strike me as having been redesigned last minute, each has something missing.

Underpass is an abortion

Sub Base/Srapyard & Terminal are not without their charm

Im looking forward to new maps already though which doesnt say much for the current crop.

I'd have to say i like highrise and Favela, but i agree that quarry just feels a big, BLUH, to describe playing it is horrible, it's just horrible.

Lol, I'm going to take a wild guess and suggest that the OP was more interested in MW2 maps but thanks for sharing...

I find it strange that they gave night vision googles out for the hardern edition but there are no maps set in the night time?

Yup, they had better have at least one night-time map in the next map release. If I'd bought that version I'd be pissed that I couldn't use the goggles in multiplayer.

favela, invasion, terminal, highrise are good.

some maps are seriously horrible. karachi, underpass and sub-base fall into that category.

i think they need a best of cod 4 map pack with crash, ambush and crossfire? i think

Karachi and Invasion

Love playing as the American Army......quality graphics depicting the towns/athmosphere of the area.

Afghanistan is original and different too.

Rust is my favorite! I am absolutely raging that it never comes up I've been trying to get a game there for 3 days!!! No joy. Its sh!t maps like karachi and other campville type maps.

Rust is extremely common on FFA for me....

Is it on any other modes or just FFA?

Rust never appears in sabotage, must be designed for close combat like killzone on COD4, that never came up in Sabotage either.

Havn't found it that common! I've been trying to get on for last 3 days..!! Maybe I'm just unlucky.

To echo other posters. A night time level / Snow level (like in the Single player) or basically any limited vis. design would be an interesting addition.

I don't get to play Rust much at all. Only on an occasional TDM. Which is a shame as it's great fun. Is it possible to play Domination on it? I wouldn't think so cause the A,B,C flags would be so close. Could be a hoot though.

I'm at level 33 or something like so i've played it enough and i have never been on Rust!! Only saw it the other way when I tried to explore a few maps by myself.

rust pops up on TDM occasionally!
my fav has got to be terminal!! reminds me of die hard 2 love it! especially with a sentry gun, can rack up a few kills no problem!
not a big fan of underpass visibility is poor but then again my style of play doesnt use thermal or heartbeat

Oh man you must be ACHING to play it! I remember a few years back I got Dino Crisis for Xmas for the PS1, and it was sitting there for like 2 weeks, and I was antsy as f***!

As for my favourite maps -
Quarry - S&D/TDM
Favela - Domination/TDM
Rust - FFA
Derail - Demolition
Skidrow - Any gametype
Terminal - Any gametype

As far as ideas for new maps.. I'd love to see the Oil Rig turned into an MP map or parts of the Gulag, they'd be pretty savage IMO

I know the game is still fairly new but I could do with another map! Any idea on any future plans to release one? whats the bet it wont be free :P

Yeah, definately the Oil Rig and Gulag. The Cliffhanger level would be interesting too!

I've noticed the last few evenings that Rust is now appearing in Domination matches and Hardcore HQ. It is an awesome map in these modes.

Every map has become camper infested, regardless of the game type you're playing. It's beyond pathetic and personally I wish some absolutely horrible things happen to the immediate lives of said spastics.

Oh sorry if I find it frustrating that the games are filling with retarded inbreeding spastics who find fun in hiding behind objects, waiting for a player to pass and then shooting him in the back.
