I have both of the games above on the XBox and have reached the end level of both games.

I don't understand some of the stuff you guys are talking about. How do you choose weapons? What do you mean by maps? Are these options only available for people who play online?

Yes. Maps and choosing weapons is part of the mutiplayer online gaming. If you haven't done this before, and you have a decent internet connection, you should give it a try. I had played shooters for years and years, but never online before this game. I'm now hooked. :D

Yeah you should seriously give online a go! Best part about modern FPS games for me!

Agreed, single player is redundant these days. I remember COD2 on PS2, you began as the ammo carrier for some doomed Russian rifleman, barreling through the square in leningrad with hunrdeds of crazy Nazi's shooting at you, waiting for yer man to die so you could pick up his weapon, i thought no thanks, straight into multiplayer. never ran single player mode again. Good times, good time.

Noteable exception: Killzone 2 on the PS3 is awesome in single player mode. Never played it online

Minotaur, if you still have COD2 lying around, I highly recommend it. By far the best single player experience in the entire series. I still remember the graphics on the smoke nades. Super game at the time and still is.
