    Oh, you :D:o

Similarly, people talking about how they're "glad the study is over for the day" at 4pm **** off. I'm just starting!

Did the library not always close at 10?

or did they stop doing the night time study thing in the front room?

I never remember it closing that early before, but then I guess I must have been in there late at exam time or something, where they stay open a bit later.

I live so close and it makes it harder to go in. Get up, go to lecture (mebbe) come back for lunch: "ah sure I'll go in after home and away. I have to download this album actually. Oooh eastenders. Wonder what's happening on xkcd/facebook/boards. The afternoon show has a certain charm actually. Now I'm hungry" when the library is only five minutes away it's easier to procrastinate :D and then I get in and remember I can't smoke there so it's "ah I'll photocopy everything I can see and go home and study" and then "better watch the repeat of home and away" etc :o

Opens later during the next semester, til 12 I think. Cutbacks all over the shop this year though I'd imagine, so it might be different.

Ah those she devils. I remember in the study month when i was in first year there was a girl sitting across from me in a low cut top and i overheard her say to her friend that "i think that guy (obviously yours truly) is staring at my breasts". I actually wasnt but i made sure to have a good gawk after that considering she already thought i was looking at the twins.

    i'm not a pervert i swear!

Also, does anybody else notice all the hotties who you've never seen all year but who suddenly appear in exams only to vanish again til the following may? Do hot people just not go to lectures?

Speaking of breasts...a few of them around here...study time's the best time. ;)

No, especially not the women, too busy spending 2-6 hours applying makeup etc.*

*I understand this is a sweeping generalisation and apologies to all who've been affected by the structure and bluntness of this post!

I would but I get a bit shy around pretty girls. Also, they weren't in Q+1 today :(

Nah, the best kind of study is the standing outside the doors letting the loom wash over you kind of study. But of course that's tiring so you have to take a break to Java City. Then it's back to standing beneath the loom for a while.

I think we should collectively claim a corner of Q+3 as the boards study corner then we cant be distracted by the hot girls together ;p. Ill be up there between 10-1 and 2-5.30 2moro. Look out for the guy with the awfully messy hair :p

i spent a year in coll in america, if you saw a girl u like in the lib over there you try to find an excuse to start talking to them, then ask them if they want to get a coffee

excuses as simple as "oh i see your reading senior gentics, i took that module last semester"

the usual reply was " oh my god are you irish?"

don't think the same tactics would work in Q + 1

Meh, pretty girls are over-rated. At this stage of my life, i've come to realise that personality is number one. If a guy/girl doesn't have that, then all the looks in the world wont make up for it. I hope the younger folk on here will somehow discover this too, one day. :)

I must say that the female talent in UCC is up there with any college in Ireland! CIT is full of bogger women wearing wellies!*

*May be a slight exaggeration :)

Thats both highly unfair and unaccurate. CIT doesn't have any women!!

It's not just ladies, all the hot guys seem to hang out in the library too! Best place for talent spotting :D They never seem to notice me though, I guess I wrap up in the cold weather too much :(

    Fixed that for you ;)

Ya there are a few girls that seem to put on make up with a trowel or just stick their head in a bucket of foundation or something.

Reminds me of the make up gun Homer used in the Simpsons; "Oops its set to whore"!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,944 ✭✭✭Jay P

Q+1 was void of these "pretty ladies" again today for the two hours while I was there.

Maybe if I go for a spot of late studying they'll return....

I think this calls for the help of the photo society. You could call it a "Sociological Survey".....
