For those of you who've ever experienced it any ideas how long before you hit the gym again?

Was hoping to offset some of the ****e I'll enjoy this xmas:(

Mods: I'll be seeing a physio in a few days so won't be acting on this advice.

    Hi There

Sorry to hear about the injury, it sounds sore . Can I ask how it happened?

Hope it gets sorted for you soon.

    Best Regards,

    M

Had a bad fall from height and my backside saved me so to speak:)

Think exercise will probably be minimal the more I think about it so best to cut back on the excess eating and drinking.

    Oh damn!.

Thankfully its not a break I've experienced personally but I know a few people who have broken it and its suppose to be exceptionally sore and apparently can take a long time to heal.

    I don't envy you!.

Sounds like a pain in the ass (Sorry, couldn't resist)

Can you do upper body stuff? Focus on the bench, press, pull ups, bent over rows, etc.

    Thanks for the kind words:)

At the moment it's still way too sensitive for me to put pressure on it. Hoping that I could do upper body stuff in the next week or two. Probably best to leave things until I visit the fracture clinic/see physio.

Personally i think you should rip off your tightheads arm and beat him to death with it.

If i'm wrong then do like wise to the flanker.

OP, i feel your pain, it happened to me two years ago, (wet) bathroom floor and too much alcohol! I wasnt able to run for about 10 weeks at least but i was able to do other (mostly cardio) stuff in the gym, like cross trainer and bike .. anything non impact

sitting down on this can literally be a pain in the arse, so to alleviate it pay a visit to your local hardware store and get an inner tube for a wheelbarrow, partly inflate it and sit on it instead of directly on a chair. It will allow you to sit down without putting too much pressure on the coccyx. You might be tempted to use one of those child's floatation rings, don't bother they're just not robust enough.
