Shane Lowry - 2019 Champion Golfer of The Year (note first post please for posting guidance)

This doesn't really belong here but another Offaly man, Stuart Grehan, yesterday won the South of Ireland to add to the East of Irelamd that he won earlier in the year. Shane also managed to win 2 in one year, the West and North in 2008.

Stuart also beat Shane's younger brother, Alan, in the 2nd round on the 20th hole. It has also resulted in Stuart today being called up for his first Ireland cap. Stuart's younger brother also won the Tullamore GC Club Championship yesterday.

Golf is on the up in Offaly.

Decent round but Shane seems to finish of his rounds poorly which prove costly. Still looks like level won't be far off the lead. Seems Merrit partied hard after his win last week. +12 today

Great experience for Shane - it'll be interesting to see how he handles the pressure of being in the last group today.

He's missing a lot of fairways. It's only cost him one shot so far but he'll need to straighten things up in the final few holes.

He's scoring well while not hitting enough fairways. He's very close to winning something big though. Ability in spades. And a really sound skin as well.
