It seems that people are way more interested in world war two than world war one. Why is that? So many movies have been made about world war two compared to world war one.

World war 2 was a Fight for survival For people, For mankind.

World War 1 was a Major pissing contest.

World war 2 shaped so much of The world today. It brought upon the arms race, the cold war, Space travel, comunications, the internet all spawned from events of world war 2.

Well, for the answer to that question, I'd recommend going to the Military forum.

Although in short, and I'm no military historian, but I think WWII is more relevant in tactics used to today's soldiers than WWI.

Trust me, longer answers will come from the good men (and Ladies!) of Military. (although it would be good to hear from lady soldiers who post here, I know of at least one previous poster!)

The movie industry was much more developed by the end of WWII and people can relate to things better through audio-visual means.

World War I was an unprecedented battle between nations. World War 2 was, to the common man, not only a titanic struggle between good and evil, which incidentally claimed millions upon millions more lives than the first war, but was also one marked by extermination, execution, genocide, deliberate mass civilian targeting, the atomic age...and so on.

Exactly. Locked. I mean how you figured this was the place for this thread.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
