Will this be one of those really annoying draws that drags out for blood ages? i.e. draw the teams from Pot 1,have some sort of annoying cheesey entertainment thingy and about half an hour later we get the next pot drawn.

I'd imagine a humiliating ko in the group stages would be more rewarding; more 2002 than 2006 I would have thought. Personally speaking, as a French supporter I would be delighted with the team reaching 2 successive WC finals - not going to happen though.

Can South Africa be drawn against any of the other African teams in pot 3 or are they kept apart

They're in Pot 1, they can be drawn against any team in the other pots.

What? Did they stage the carnivalesque backdrop did they?

Blatter can't remember which city the WC kicks off at. For a president, he's not that smart

Just read on aertel that they won't have any other African teams in their group.
Bet France get the SA group the jammy ****ers.

Have to admit, its a bit hard to watch knowing we should be and deserve to be in it.

There's no excitement in the draw for me.

The new world cup ball, made by Adidas, is the roundest ball ever made!

Marketting people are geniuses are they not. Imagine coming up with a round football.

Wouldn't say you deserve to be in it - more you don't deserve to be not in it. Ireland deserved a penalty shoot-out to try and get to SA - that's what you were deprived of, not a place per se.

I thought I had read that before alright somewhere, just was not sure.
Since the seedings were made and france left out, I have always felt FIFA are gonna stick France in SA group, thus avoiding all big guns.

Its not gonna be group of death anyhow
    South Africa
    Pot 2 (handy enough teams)
    Chile/Paraguay/Uruguay
    Happy European team, probably France:mad:

Over the 2 legs we played the better football, created the better chances and deserve to be in it, but thats an arguement for another day.
    Irrespective of the handball incident.
    This is about the Draw.

The way France played against Ireland in the 2nd leg, any group would be tough to get out of ;)

You were the one who brought up we deserved not to not be in it... blah blah blah...penalties...blah blah blah

If i'm being correct here,we dont deserve to not be in the draw.

Wipe those tears and prepare for England ending up in the group of Death

Apparently, the games will be shown over there after the game has finished, and only if N Korea win. Also no commentary, military music will be played to as an accompaniment

    WTF is this sh!t ??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 549 ✭✭✭Jam-Fly

Btw, if France do end up in South Africa's group, I will actually be infuriated.

It's completely unjustified, completely emotional, no logic or evidence, but it would look like Platini rigging it again.

I'd imagine the group of death will be the one that consists of France and/or Ivory Coast. They're definitely the two stand out teams from the other pots.

Imagine how many posts would be posted if we were in the draw :O, there would be a great sense of buzz around the place, Heres to qualifying for 2014 :) Keep the flags flying high :D.
