The promotional poster for the WWE 2010 Royal Rumble pay-per-view has been released



The twenty-third annual Royal Rumble will emanate from the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on January 31, 2010.

Bit of a TLC spoiler with Big Red not being there....
Can't wait for this PPV though.

as long as Hunter does not win it I won't be to annoyed. We all know he will headline Mania so what point would it be winning winning the Rumble? :eek::(
I don't think the likes of Punk, Kofi or Jo Mo win this, it will be one of Vince's select few possibly Batista.

The posters for the PPV's seem to be getting worse. First was Punk in TLC (which has been changed to Edge put through a table at ONS 08), now this??? "I am the One" - am I the only one laughing at that??

Don't know if its possible or time consuming would a mod be kind enough to add a poll such as "who is going to win the rumble in the OP".?
It may get discussion going and it will be interesting to see who the forum think will win.

I'm 95-100% sure he's out for the Rumble but the WWE might do what they did with Cena in 08. He's trying to get back for Mania 26.

I'd like to see Kofi win this. Something different. Would make him a star overnight. They could make a big deal of him being the first black wrestler to win it.

At last night's WWE Smackdown taping, Rey Mysterio defeated Batista to become the new number one contender to The Undertaker's World Heavyweight Championship.

So can we expect Taker V Rey at RR?

Well they could add Dave to that match, but I suppose they may prefer him in the rumble as thats th biggest draw on the PPV.
I don't see a Punk/Kofi/Morrison winning this its got to be one of the chosen few. Hunter or Dave right now would be favorites. Young blood and all that. :pac:

you put up any poll on this forum and Kane will get atleast one vote for sure. Christian seems the be the internets favourite wrestler on the other hand, the guy that everyone would like to see pushed so he always gets voted highly too but neither will win it this year as far as im concerned and tbh probably as far as the people who voted for them are concerned also as they were probably who they want to win votes and not who will win ones.

WWE often have a random person return for these gigs.

Any names spring to mind, I would love to see Jeff return and eliminate Punk (If Punk isn't winning which is my real hope).

Any more realistic suggestions of people who may return, Steamboat perhaps?

Steamboat would be a good shout. Piper and Jeff would be the 2 that spring to my mind on this.

According to The Wrestling Observer, the following is the latest rumored card for WWE's Royal Rumble PPV. It should be noted that aside from the Royal Rumble Match, none of these matches have been confirmed at this time:
-Sheamus vs. John Cena for The WWE Championship Match.
-The Undertaker vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Batista in a Triple Threat Match For The World Heavyweight Championship.
-Christian vs. The Winner of the "ECW Homecoming" Battle Royal for The ECW Title.
-The Royal Rumble Match.

Myes. I would like to see a winner between #11 - #20 since they usually come from the first or last ten entrants. Actually they've always been from the first or last ten.

Would prefer a new winner each year (srs Jericho plz) aswell but I would be happy if HBK won again to buy his place against Undertaker. Part of me thinks Triple H is being maneuvered to fued with Michaels though.

Rumour has it Booker T will make an appearence like RVD did last year.

I'd love to see Danielson win it, Imagine the newly signed person who casual fans don't know going to the main event of Wrestlemania.
It would save the squash matches on his debut.XD

The new issue of the PW Torch Newsletter speculates that Rob Van Dam may make a surprise WWE return at the Royal Rumble. Apparently RVD has told people that he hasn't spoken with TNA officials since November.
A source close to Van Dam feels he would be open to the idea of a short stint with WWE if the money and creative plans were right.

hey all im new here, anyway i think ted dibiase will win it, his push against orton has been slowly building up and both men will win at the rumble for an orton dibiase match at mania, to which cody rhodes will swerve orton and help ted win, because he was bought with the returning million dollar man's money.

He is being used lately as comical foil for DX and the guest host he needs to be back in the title picture on SD.

I love to see him win the RR but i think Edge might cost him his chance in the RR leading to their match at WM

I would really like to see Ted winning it, but I just don't see it happening. I think WWE will wuss out and go for a bigger name star

Although then again, Sheamus beat Cena to become WWE champion, so I guess anything is possible

Teddy V Orton has to happen this year the way i see it Teddy will knock Orton out a RR leading to them feuding to WM to a match

I can see them having Orton winning the title and Dibiasie winning the Rumble. It's just something that's in my head!

Or knowing the WWE they'll have Sheamus keep it...Dibiasie win the Rumble and then Orton trying to force him to hand over the title shot!!

Why does everybody believe that orton is going to feud with a face dibiase?

I understand that people thought it because ted was in the marine 2 and to help promote it they'd turn ted face and most likely against orton. But hey the movie came out and they didnt do squat with ted. What makes people think its still going to happen.

During Christmas, WWE.com had a "breakout superstar of 2010" page with how various superstars could be the breakout star of the year. In Ted's bio, it said that he split from the Legacy and wondered how he would fair against Orton. I'm trying to find it now but I think the page has been taken down.

Also, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that despite what happened on Raw last night, WWE still has plans to turn Ted DiBiase, Jr baby face in the near future. As of now, the creative team is holding off on his face turn until the Royal Rumble PPV, and there is early talk at this time of having him face Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 26

Fair enough.

I personally think there is a good chance it wont happen at all. I remeber reading months ago when the likes of cena where talking about how the younger guys (like miz,kofi etc) were being pushed when in reality they werent being pushed at all as they were still only in matches with other mid carders. they have been to a certain extent albeit a good few months later.

WWE might say its going to do something but doesn't always follow through
