Was curious about this recently and found this chart on bodybuilding.com. Apparently these proportions are based on the 'Ideal Greek Proportions'. Thought it might be of interest to some people. Pretty sure you divide your weight in lbs by your height in inches.

For me at 6'2" and around 182 lbs i get 2.46 it's immensely depressing to see that i'd need to get down to a 31 inch waist to fit into this! Thats about 4 inches below what i am. Not sure its even possible. I think it's intersting to compare though, and maybe a novelty (yet wholly inaccurate) reference for people.

We discussed this (the Grecian ideal) 2 years ago in this thread.

The outcome it seems is that Hanley was a god sent to walk amongst us mere mortals

EDIT - that link in the original thread seems to have changed :(

Oops. Never hurts to remind people that they are completely underperforming!

Interesting to see how Hanley compares now, what with his PR's and his Crossfit and his gunzzz!

AFAIK this ideal was developed by a "strongman" Eugene Sandow who allegedly measured greek statues. I have since read he was a avid/shameless self promotor, so could have altered them to match his own measurements. Though he does look quite like some of them.

Since they are from statues I imagine the measurements should be "unflexed" measurements
