    15s in a few seconds!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 253 ✭✭Moro Man

**** me Boyles managed to slash it to 12s the minute the bet went up. For the first time in a longwhile I had alook at the site early. They must have a person checking his bets and cutting prices as opposed to shortening them due to volume of money.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 253 ✭✭Moro Man

There must a serious punt on this one that 12s is long gone 13/2 now with Boyles

my advice would be to wait till closer to the off if you miss the rice! it invaribly drifts out closer to the off when the serious layers start looking at the race abd see that the reason for the short price is a tip!

Only found out about Hugh's tips recentely and I'm pretty impressed with his stats. Does anyone know if he's doing this next year? I might set aside a few hundred euro and back them all at 10/20 euro according to his point system! I'd be a couple of thousand up if he has similar success as this year!

    1.35 NEWBURY

1pt each-way SAWPIT SUPREME (66-1 Boylesports, Sportingbet, Stan James. 50-1 general)
Regular readers will know that I do like to take an occasional flyer on a massive-priced one if I can make a case for it, and I wonder if it would be the biggest surprise in the world if SAWPIT SUPREME ran well in the maiden hurdle at Newbury (1.25). She had no worthwhile form in four starts for John Spearing, but on her hurdles debut at Warwick in March 2008 she had just made her way onto the heels of the leaders when falling three out. She didn't stay 2m5f on her only subsequent run (raced keenly, as she has on all four starts), but she has now joined Venetia Williams (reportedly one of three horses in the same ownership to have made the switch). Clearly she has a mountain to climb in this sort of company, but I wouldn't want to be laying any horse at 25-1+ in a maiden hurdle on its first start for this stable; it's worth noting that Kayf Aramis made the same move in 2008 and was third, backed from 20-1 to 10-1, on his debut for Williams in a maiden hurdle, having been pulled up on his debut over hurdles for his previous yard two months earlier. Sawpit Supreme may be worth a speculative each-way bet at 33-1 or bigger

    I got 41s

What does 2pts win and 1pts mean?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,968 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Higher the points bigger the bet = more confidence. A point can be worth anything you want - 1 euro. 10 euro etc.
