    Thought this may be of interest:

    LCN.com are having a "birthday countdown" promotion (a unique offer every Tuesday for the next ten weeks).

    Their first offer is .eu domains for just 10p (or ten cent depending which part of the world you are). There are 1000 domain name available at this price. Once the first 1000 are registered for 10p then they will be offering EU domains at half price until next Tuesday morning.

    You certainly live up to your username ;)

    Just cause I'm not an active member of the forum doesn't mean I can't contribute relevant and useful information which people can benefit from.

    could turn this into a sticky for domain names & webhosting? It seems genuine, you can register with them and use the code for 10c domain reg, then it seems to be around a tenner a year after that.

    Hi @poochiem I didn't actually notice a domains or web hosting specific forum? On first glance in tech I actually thought it was closed down!

    The offer is certainly genuine and I'd be more than happy to contribute to lots of domain and hosting deals from within the industry if there was a sticky.

    This is a legit register, they were one of first people doing " .ME " address when they launched.

    So the next question is, is there any fun/unusual/cool words ending in eu?

    adieu, basbleu, boutefeu, camaieu, chisleu, emeu, eu, feu, jeu, leu, lieu, milieu, pourlieu, priedieu, purlieu, virgalieu.

    All pretty unusual really.

    Dunno, I went through the process and it tried to charge me €9.60 not 10 cents. Says there was 937 registrations left at the 10 cent rate also so dunno what's going wrong.

    Cheers OP, hopefully they've another promo soon with a better suffix for making funny words :pac:

    people who like text speak can always treat the 'u' as a word on its own

    idrid.eu= i'd ride u
    icomplet.eu= i complete u
    istol.eu= i stole u
    strangl.eu= strangle u
    ipok.eu= i poke u
    iconfus.eu= i confuse u
    confus.eu
    idominat.eu

    pity its only 1 code per person or i'd buy ipok.eu

    Is it just 1 domain per customer ? i registered one for my up coming business. Want to register one for my new site but its telling me customer limit has been reached ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 76 ✭✭Seohelp

    Yeah. It's limited to one per account as a way of stopping domainers snapping up dozens of them. After the first 1,000 are registered the .EUs will be offered at half price. Still cheap as chips!

    You need to have it hosted and you need a website builder that can publish it.

    Ive mine hosted on blacknight this is around my 4th site on my hosting package which is about 50 euro a year.

    God, I thought the 12c wold do! So you have to host it, and when you do that can you build the website yourself or do you have to pay more?

  • Registered Users Posts: 905 ✭✭✭m8

    1. Buy a mini NAS that can serve webpages (synology are good)
    2. Build your web pages and host on the NAS
    3. Forward your ports from you router to the NAS
    4. Setup a dynamic dns @ dyndns.org for free (most routers have this facility to conect to a dyndns name)
    5. in the control Panel where your domain name was purchased setup web fordwarding to the dynamic dns name.

    Now you have a web page that you have full control over ;)

    Fook.eu (incidently, somebody already has it lol)

    luck.eu

    Good offer, and in fairness, the 50% off isn't bad either.
