I'm 16 years old, I have alot of verses wrote down on my notepad that I made up with no music.

Been thinking lately of investing into getting it produced.

    My question is.

    A) Do you guys create beats?

I'm a pretty good song-writer who likes mixing about in alot of areas.

Mainly when it comes to voice I got alot of ideas which are usually used in mainstream songs these days, so yeah.

Any experienced producers just hit me up with a pm or something. Or even reply. Thanks.

It seems amateur (no offense). Or maybe thats just the sites name; PopStars LOL.

    Questions..

Have you ever created your own music? Or do you usually record vocals from other already created tracks?

Also, how much would we be talking for 2/3 songs (including mastering it)

I'll take a look at the website.

Hit me up with some more info on what you do/etc.

I'm pretty straight forward at the moment as most producers usually end up not being able to preform the tasks and type of stuff I ask.

I had some exp with a couple of guys in Dublin who are studying in Pulse.

    No offense taken:
Us 'amateurs' are making music for the next Guinness commercial worth 18k to my company if we are so lucky, thats the level we are on. Eanan is a composer and I am into digital music production.

We are releasing our first single in late January and I am working on a dance single now that I produced and arranged in Logic. Ultimately Eanan can write and arrange an orchestra on his mac and I can do the rest, vocals, instruments, lyrics etc..

PS We dont master or even pretend to fully understand the black art that it is.

    We are expensive...

Good to see we have educated and mature forum members.

As for hip-hop not being an art, quite funny how it runs almost 70% of mainstream music.

If your not into it then don't diss it. Hater's are the worse especially when they don't make sense.

It's getting really hard to defend hip hop with the clowns we see on TV these days.

Are all the pages filled in or are there still some blank ones?

My boy Dav has 368 note pads, 100 pages in each one. Filled to the brim with some of the best rap lyrics I have ever heard. His beatz are sublime, the man's a walking genius so show some respect.

Nigga I swear your tripping like woah. The last time I heard someone talk like that was a crackhead from London. That slang is old as hell, rapping is an art, you shouldn't hate. I heard its bad for you.

How ghetto is this guy? He's 16 years old, when he isn't hanging with London crack fiends who for some bizarre reason use American slang (even though London is absoloutely awash with its own slang already) he writes rhymes.

As for the "freshness" (Fresh Princeness in the case of the boy) of my patois, I exclusively use terms learned from the last couple of seasons of The Wire (set in modern day Baltimore, Maryland). I find it hard to believe that the writers wouldn't be able to write dialogue in an appropriate style to reflect its contemporary setting.

Ice T informs me from personal experience that it is "old as hell". Like this was how it was 10 years ago when he was six and in High Infants (or maybe First Class)...

If he can't best me (Irish, white, passing interest in rap (and linguistics), 'no bodies on me') in a "battle" how can he expect to have an improbable (semi) biopic made of his life and his struggle staring Kim Basinger as his mother?

Not impressing me with you're firm grasp of the English language. It does not take a degree in science to speak slang brah. But just to throw it out there, how old are you? See.. Unfortunately some of us don't have as much time for arguments over the Internet. I do find it a little amusing on how you stereotype all Hip-Hop song-writers to have the IQ of Captain Caveman.

I'm only here looking for business, noting more.

Firstly, I find it bizarre that a hip hop fan wouldn't be able to distinguish between British and American slang. Secondly, I've reread my posts and cannot find this "stereotyping" of hip-hop songwriters anywhere. To be honest I'd be more worried about your grasp of the English language, not being able to distinguish between two very different dialects, and inventing meaning that just isn't there.
But just to throw it out there, how old are you?

Old nuff to be yo daddy, lil man.

Really. Another forum member told you to contact them. You described what they did as seeming "amateur" ... nice.

... and otherwise get a sense of humour.
