Im lifting 95kg in the bar max weight I can do at about 3*3 reps but with dumbells I can lift only 75kg all be it more reps about 7*7 but when try lift 80kg and just cant seem lift them in first place once in positioon to do so?

Anyone have same problem or is that a normal thing?

    Thanks.

    this is normal.
you have to work harder with DBs as they require more stabilising muscles.

Dont dumbells bring your abs into the equation much more?

Dumbbells also take a while to get used to them, getting them up for that 1st rep can take more out of you than the last rep, i find doing them at a slight incline makes it so much easier for getting the dumbbells up and geting them back down.

    This is standard...

More stabilising micro-muscles needed with dumbell bench press.

This is always the case its because of the stabilisation muscles also if your right handed its often stronger than the left ( or vice-versa if your a left hander) which is helped a little more when using a olympic bar compared to dumbbells, Training more with db's will stop any muscle imbalance... good luck

on the topic of benching in diff ways, have u ever tried single arm dumbbell floor presses? excellent excercise, since ur flat on the floor you feel incrdibly secure.
