Hi guys - Does anyone know if there are any gyms in Dublin cc which offer monthly membership rates, apart from the Markevicz? Or some other pay as you go scenario?

    Thanks.

    Hi Spoongibbon,

It's not in Dublin but on the train line, if that's any good.

The gym in Maynooth college offers a Pay and Play.

    €9

They also have good 3/6/12 monthly rates and I think there is something you can do whereby you pay a reduced subscription and then get something like €3 entry. Lots of options basically. Its a good place for a beginner (so long as your expectations arent too high!)

i got crunch premier on the quays for 2 weeks for 40euro. obv that works out as more than a yearly membership but i find paying 40euro every 2 weeks alot easier than handing over 700-800 in one big amount

plus, crunch is the classiest gym out there imo.

lol i go at least 4 days per week. So 5 euro per session with the best equipment out there, private pool, sauna, no scumbags.

Good value imo. Plus they sometimes have membership on special offer for like 650 per year.

20 euro per week is hardly breaking the bank

Dude you're paying a grand a year! More than twice as much as everyone else if you consider the average gym membership is around 400-500 a year. 20 quid a week is kind of a lot.

That said if you're happy with the gym it counts for a lot if there's nowhere else you'd rather join.

I pay 70 at OneEscape and think it is well worth it! Expensive yes, but clean, spacious and load of classes and great pool area. No kids and no d**khead instructors who walk around flexing and shaking and drinking their hourly protein shakes!!:pac:

Herberton Leisure in Rialto are doing a great deal at the moment - 349 for the year, Lots of machines and weights for the workout, very helpful staff. I think it's 200 for 6 months and 149 for 3 months, but don't quote me on that.

Also has a Pool and a Hydro pool (soooo nice) as well as sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi.

Plenty classes all included in the membership fee.

    Have you used this Gym?

If so does it have dumbbells and a pullup bar?

Not sure if that's a question to me - the one at Herberton does have, and a lot of other Weight machines also.
