    Group E:
    19:45 Fiorentina vs Lyon

    Group F:
17:30 Rubin Kazan vs Dynamo Kiev
    19:45 Barcelona vs Inter Milan

    Group G:
    19:45 Rangers vs VfB Stuttgart
    19:45 Unirea Urziceni vs Sevilla

    Group H:
    19:45 AZ vs Olympiacos
    19:45 Arsenal vs Standard Liege

Massive, massive games in Group F. Wins for Rubin and Inter would knock Barca out.

And of course a Fiorentina win will knock Liverpool out aswell.

The rest however, are simply fillers I'm afraid.

Apart from the final in 2006 has there ever been a real ding dong thriller involving the Gunners?

Roma last year was a compelling watch. No goal fest, but nervous stuff.

Also AC Milan and Real Madrid in previous years.

All from a skewed Arsenal POV though :pac:

Gotta love the Barca hate. :D It'll all rest on whether Ibrahimovic is fit enough to start or not, because they are awfully ineffective when it's Messi up top, he has never been a striker and he never will be. Should be class game though, and if Barca/ Pep want to prove they are still as good as they were last year, now is the perfect time.

I know what we are, you know I'm right and it is jealousy too kinda! Also we are the only club without one who deserve one!

Meh, still the best team in the world. Treble last season, FCWC to come up. I'll still sleep comfortably tonight. ;)

Anyway, onto the game tonight. I'm pretty nervous, really annoyed that people are comparing this Barca side to the one in 2006, that always nearly didn't qualify. Completely different scenarios, that team was missing Eto'o for the whole group stage campaign (as well as Messi for a large portion too), but the biggest problem was they had become arrogant, lazy, and complacent after the win in Paris.

This Barca side has been playing quite well, just not been as effective as in previous seasons, but I've no doubt that they are well capable of qualifying. Let's hope Guardiola can start Ibrahimovic, he's the key. Inter will be very happy sit back and beat us on the counter, and with players like Sneijder, Maicon, Eto'o and Milito they are well capable too. If Ibracadabra plays though, I see us winning - 2-0, goals from Pique and Henry. ;)

Edit - Forgot Sneijder didn't make the squad. Big blow, he's the main midfielder that links attack and defense. Their midfield can be contained so (except for a Stankovic special, they come around quite often), it'll be a key lock down Maicon, Eto'o and Milito then.

Seriously cant see Inter winning at the Camp-Nou though, hoping for a Rubin win however, Not a Barca hater but still dont want them to get through, hopin for a different winner this time!:D

If Barca dont get through then I think the CL is between Chelsea or Real. I think Barca will win tonight though. They will have 60% of the ball and its hard to imagine them not breaking Inter's backline at least once.
Loads of twists especially with Mourinho.

I was quite giddy for the Inter vs Barca, but it was actually really boring to watch.

I'll watch while flicking to Gillette Socccer Special. I wish Jeff Stelling did weekdays :(

Scuffed finished aside, it was a great move.

I don't think Inter have had a shot yet.

Barcelona aren't even in top gear here, Inter Milan are just hopeless.

It's a disgrace that they're constantly a seeded team when they have the worst Champions League record in the knock-out stages by miles.

Yeah Inter are a joke. Doesnt say much for Mourinho if a team of his plays like this.

    Liverpool out as it stands?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,046 ✭✭✭eZe^

Mourinho has never got a win at the Camp Nou as manager, and it looks set to stay that way. Although I'd still like to see Ibra get some minutes and score a goal against his old club. :) Eto'o got a fantastic reception before the game, when his name was called out on the team sheet the crowd cheered so well! Nice touch.

Here, WTF was up with that stupid little outburst from Milito, it was so foolish of him, he could have seen red if Puyol exaggerated it. Very risky stuff from him...

Probably pissed his team are being played off the park by a Barca team playing two levels below full throttle.

Iker Casillias eat your heart out.

    Reminiscent of the Sevilla save.

    Absolutely top drawer.

Henry really is having a stinker. Id like to see Bojan get a run in his place.
