    ok
Every set i do in every session, i do as many reps as i physically can to fail.
At the moment going to fail at every set i am still making gains every session.
Should i continue with this system of pretty much testing my self every session.

Should i change to 5 sets of 5 reps for 80% max? What way does this work do i use the same weight for all 25 reps doing the first 5 with ease but just about finishing the last five.

    Hope im making sense

There's a lot to be said for blowing your nuts every session, but it's unsustainable long term.

As for what you should do, it depends.

I'm wondering how long have you been training? 5x5 is popular, however there's been loads of popular routines in the past that also worked quite well.

I'd defo try 5x5, I have. Also try doing three sets of eight reps or 3x8. See for yourself which ones you respond to best. Mostly I do pyramids. I seem to like them, not bored yet after a number of years.

    thanks guys
I have been training on off for 2 years. but really getting into it with last month. deadlift has gone up 20 kilo in that month so thats why im not sure about changing whilst making progress. but im making no progress with my bench so maybe now is the time to change.
