    Hi guys,

just been having a look at this rower:-

    http://www.irishsportsdirect.ie/catalog/rowing-machines/body-sculpture-br-3050x-magnetic-rowing-machine

im looking to get a good quality cheap rower as the missus thinks i need to lose a few pounds! I was wondering if anyone has got one of these and are they any good for 6ft 16stone man who likes chips! i would only be doing a few reps every day. they also have one with pulse sensors for an extra 15 yo yo's - would it be worth the extra cost.

money is tight and this lot seem to be the cheapest

any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers

    Jim

If money is tight, do you really need a €200 rower which will most probably end up unused after a few weeks?

Perhaps look at getting one or a pair of kettlebells.

Give those a try for a few weeks. They will cost much less and if you do get bored of them then you will have no problems selling them on.

BTW, that's just one of many excercises that can be done with a kettlebell.

I would just get standard adjustable weight sets (cast iron -no vinyl/cement) before kettlebells, more versatile. Strength increases dramatically for beginners.

If money's tight, stop eating the chips and do bodyweight excercises.

First off, Id tell the missus to GTFO. Cheeky ****er.

Seriously though, forget about the rower, take a look at your diet long term and also try be generally more active.

Go for runs and do bodyweight exercises.
