1 vs 100 Season 2

It's back for a new season. Starts this Friday the 20th, just set a reminder there and about 3 General Knowledge downloaded things popped-up.

Prizes are available in the first episode. So it will be the luck of the draw if you get chosen to be the one or the mob as no extended plays have happened yet. Plus I think there's achievments now too.

EDIT: There's actually 2 extended play games before the main show. So you might wanna do them.

Yeah it kept popping up on the Inside Xbox channel(?) for me lately and when I select it it dissapears. Looking forward to having another go on this as I got fairly bored of it last time around but have been feeling the hankering for another few games of it as of late.

the utterly opaque and arcane way they chose the one and the mob really frustrated me last time. Some people were chosen for the one multiple times while I played it a fair bit and never even got into the mob! The whole thing seemed suspect and felt like I was being played. But the game is at least a laugh.

It kept disappearing for me over the last few weeks - I just thought that it was something from the Preview that we shouldn't have been seeing yet.

Looking forward to this - got in the mob (the hundred) a couple of times when it was on last and won a few hundred points and got a free arcade game for my troubles. Always a nice little bonus ... And Mrs. F. enjoyed playing it too (a first - if you don't count Professor Layton on the Nintendo DS :pac:).

Yea I disagreed with the selection process for the 1 and the mob. I feel it should be random from the pool of players avaialable and once you're the one or the mob not get a chance at being that again for that live show. I'll give it a go but if it's the same process it will just infuriate me seeing the same faces in the mob every other game.

Yeah I agree too, they better have a bit of a fairer selection process because there's no appeal to playing if you never get in.

ya, the mob selection is definitely not right...

Last season, it seems to be the same lads in the mob a good bit of the time, and The One was a 0 Gamerscore person loads of times...supposedly the 0 GS guys were americans setting up Irish and UK accounts to play in our season.

I got into the Mob once, and I was about 5 questions in, before I realized I was in the mob and not in the crowd, no message or anything to say I got selected.

Well I was only in the mob once, and I didn't notice until I was a few questions in...Hopefully I will get there again, and realise it this time.

Yeah, at the start of the new round each player pops up and their total score and mob/crowd announcement is displayed on the big (virtual) screen behind them

I like the new setup. Wonder if player level's now work with the mob and 1 selection process.

I think the selection process has greatly improved. Last season I played pretty much every weekend and never got in. Now I've bee in twice, although my stats page say 4.

Yeah it seems a bit fairer but I'm starting to see this craic again with the same people in the mob over and over again which is a bit unair to everyone else.

Just saw the next show with Prizes is Tuesday. So glad they moved around the schedule, I can't be playing this game on a Saturday night.

Was trying to answer as quick as possible to get into the top 10. Thats the key, the highest I got 289 points, you had a 293 I think on the red devils.

There was one where the question said something about Matt Damon and then a load of people selected Matt Damon as the answer as well.

Played my first live show there. Was fun. Played it a bit last time but not the live shows. Was anyone there when the one had the choice of 6,000ms points or the mob and they chose the mob? They lost on the next question too.

Yeah.

The one where it was 2 mob members left and a tough question poppped up. The 2 mob members got it wrong and so did the one. First time I ever saw nobody win in a round.

A lot more people went on when I thought they would cash out. Maybe this season the 1 will beat the mob.

Pretty good so far lads! Ah fair few of us got in anyway! I got one of the top 3 in the crowd so I got Uno rush too.
I think it supports party play but there can only be four in your group at any time. Might be wrong there though so I'm sot sure.

Well done richie, was cheering when I saw ya won something on it, made me realise the thing wasn't fixed. Finally got into the mob myself but was knocked out quick enough cause was pissed as a fart and hit the wrong button on a simple question. Definately think the changes made have improved it since season 1.Although probably think that cause I got into the mob, come next week when nothing happens, I'll probably be roaring at the wife again, that its all fixed.

Yeah I hope that if you keep up a good enough % you'll still remain eligible. A few people on here seem to have been in the mob a couple of times already so I think it shouldn't be a problem.

the one thing I can never understand is the very first question. I could be the most trivial simplistic question and I guarantee half a dozen people will get it wrong. Are they just hitting X repeatedly without even reading the question?

Its astonishing, I mean its beyond "well, some people are thick" as an explanation. I simply cannot get over it.

I'm not bragging but I won UNO rush in the live show on friday but...I already have it! Shouldent there be a choice on the game? As far as I know they changed how many times you can be in the mob and win so it doesent seem fair that you win something you have already paid for :rolleyes:
Also why was their no live host?

really dont know how you guys are gettin into mob is it just based purely on speed I think have had at least 2 top 10 finishes and several top 100 finishes both in the 2 extended plays beforehand and during the live shows and still didnt get in!!! Pretty frustratin.

well I've been in the mob 3 times and was the one (last season) and got in the mob on the first show of series 2. I'm not the fastest at answering so I doubt it's speed - I played it slot ALOT Last season This one week and I guess that's how I got picked but I think they changed it this season based on general performance,previous rounds, and lifetime scores (I think that's the selecton method...)

I noticed when I did get in the mob there was only about 1500 in the crowd. I think there was alot of connection issues last time so it was mainly luck, although I did get in the top 10 too.

Had problems trying to get into this last night again.
What's the bets there will be tonight what with it going live.

I know when you enter it says the ireland edition but i haven't seen that many questions relating to Ireland or is it just me.

Highest Mountain in Ireland is the only Irish related question I saw.

Loads of English geography ones though, that I haven't a clue about.

Irish and UK editions are the same. There was a few Irish questions in the general trivia rounds last night.

Thought the football round last night was very good. Huge improvement in the questions over last seasons football rounds. Extreme Sports after it was good too.

Got into the mob tonight, won 200 or so points

One guy walked away with 5000 points fair play to him.

One thing I have been noticing over the rounds though is the difference in scores between the top 3 and my score even if i have answered all correctly, they surely cant be gettign an instant answer every time to justify a gap of 1000's :mad:

There was a winner tonight of the 10000 points. Great show overall but the guy who won was excellent. Went down to 1v1 and both got 2 qs right before guy in the mob eventually got it wrong.

The very next One got down to 5 Mob members but lost out.

Ya, I was on last night when the guy took down the whole mob, played a blinder! Also, my group of 4 was boards central. The Batman IRL and Louisburgh Lass were both in with me

Aye, it was cool seeing another boardsie pop into the group. Was in a group with Cableguy IE too in the last live game.

I found some of the questions tough last night, compared to the extended play afterwards which was fairly easy.

Still didn't get into the Mob...

It always seems to be one of the top 3 scorers in the previous round that get to the One, and the Mob always seems to be the same faces the whole time.
