Cheers folks for the tips on getting the beta key to work, created a US account and its downloading now.

Is the game better than BC1? I wasnt a HUGE fan of it TBH.

I really like this game. It's as easy to get into as BF1943 but it's so much more satisfying to play, seems to me like their's more meat to the game. I haven't played BF:BC though so I'm not sure if it's much different from that game. As such it reminds me of my happy days playing BF2 on the PC enough that I'm having a lot of fun playing and unlocking stuff. Having played MAG, I find defending in this game to be a bit more enjoyable, but attacking is always the most fun.

The game crashed on me twice though and I had to do a soft reset. Once was when I had just entered a tank and another time was when I was attempting to join someone on my friend list. Has this happened to anyone else? I think it might have been a connection issue, as when I switched to a wired connection it didn't happen again.

Hopefully not soon cos I'm really enjoying this. Attacking is brilliant while I have come to like defending as well as I have developed a shrewd tactic.

I'm not gonna say what it is in case I come up against one of you, but if you find yourself getting killed in an unbelievable way...it might be me:D

Can you get helicopters in the BETA? I've seen quite a number of tanks, before they blow the beejesus out of me, and a fair number of quad bikes but nothing else

u can control a small little helicopter via a control box thats found on the maps it looks like an envelope when looking at the map

Does it have any weapons? or can you crash it into a load of guys or is it just for recon?

It states on the game info that the beta expires on the 28/2/2010 @20:00.

Guys I have never used a BETA version of any game, nor do I have a fuc**ing clue how to get the game or keys .
Can someone please give me the Playschool explanation on how I can get this Beta as it looks great.

Plenty of time to have good fun.

I regularly find myself swearing at snipers though and how the hell they could have spotted me, but It's all part of the fun I guess

Trawl some game websites US or EU and the official twitter. I got my key from Gamespot but that offer has now closed.

Once you aquire your key you go to the PSN store and enter the keycode into the redeem codes tab to download the BETA just like you would a game demo.

If you got a US key instead of an EU one then you have to set up a US account on your PSN and access the US store to download the BETA.

Managed to find that little helicopter thing (UAV?) too, took down 3 tanks and a small group of guys running together in a straight line...brilliant stuff

And something like 92/93 days left until the BETA is finished? Bring it on I say:D

I have just finished a Twitter race to get a BETA code , 5 hours and still no joy :mad:

I swear I had a list of 8 BETA codes that got updated on the Twitter page 20secs previous , and still they were all invalid ( used)

I can't be accused of not trying !

Gonna give up now , no BETA keys anywhere:rolleyes:

I got to play it for over 2 weeks ( thanks to a fellow boards.ie member)...
What did you think of it ? , personally I think it was excellent and can't wait for ther release.

Not yet it hasn't, pretty sure it ends in February some time. I just had a game there a few minutes ago.
