Teams below. It's almost like a SH boks B teams vs NH boks b team. I expect it to be a tough physical encounter with two strong packs. Breakdown will be good challenge.

I actually played against Horak in school, lightning fast at the time.

Saracens – 15 Michael Horak, 14 Noah Cato, 13 Kameli Ratuvou, 12 Brad Barritt, 11 Michael Tagicakibau, 10 Derick Hougaard, 9 Neil de Kock, 8 Ernst Joubert, 7 Justin Melck, 6 Wikus van Heerden (c), 5 Hugh Vyvyan, 4 Mouritz Botha, 3 Richard Skuse, 2 Ethienne Reynecke, 1 Rhys Gill.
Subs: 16 Schalk Brits, 17 Carlos Nieto, 18 George Kruis, 19 Andy Saull, 20 Kevin Barrett, 21 Alex Goode, 22 Rodd Penney.

South Africa – 15 Earl Rose, 14 Odwa Ndungane, 13 Juan de Jongh, 12 Wynand Olivier, 11 Jongi Nokwe, 10 Ruan Pienaar, 9 Heini Adams, 8 Ashley Johnson, 7 Jean Deysel, 6 Dewald Potgieter (c), 5 Andries Bekker, 4 Danie Rossouw, 3 CJ van der Linde, 2 Adriaan Strauss, 1 Wian du Preez.
Subs: 16 Bandise Maku, 17 Heinke van der Merwe, 18 Alistair Hargreaves, 19 Davon Raubenheimer, 20 Francois Hougaard, 21 Meyer Bosman, 22 Riaan Viljoen

yeah, it makes you wonder what percentage of Guinness Premiership players are actually from England.

I suppose it gives the Boks a chance to get the tour back on track after a disastrous start.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 234 ✭✭thebossanova

Should be a good game alright! But how can the RFU expect to have a decent English team when clubs consist of more SH money mongers than home grown talent? If I was a Sarries supporter, or even English for that matter, I'd be letting the RFU know about it!

Thank fcuk the IRFU had the sense to centrally contract our players from the beginning and not let this happen to us... We are very lucky!

I wonder if the Boks can get their first win of this NH tour.

6 mins to go, 24-23 to Sarries.

    Excellent game.

Saracens 24-23 boks 74 minutes gone.

Bloody Hougaard! At last he lands one....lucky man, terrible display from him so far. If Sarries don't shade this he's not going to be Mr. popularity around the sheds....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    What's the attendance?

Edit: Has Hougaard missed a few kicks?

Lol, he was determined to get one drop goal.

Thought that was a harsh penalty.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 28,970 Mod ✭✭✭✭Podge_irl

Hougaard gets away with that dodgyily timed kick at the end!

Win for the Sarries, graet game.

    Boks now 0 for 3.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,026 ✭✭✭B0X

Haha, that was some odd reffing there. 10 seconds left "Ah sure, feck it! Game over"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,772 ✭✭✭toomevara

Edit: Has Hougaard missed a few kicks?

Drop goal attempt, after tedious improbable drop goal attempt, kicking away possession, some appalling field kicking out of hand, an absolute shocker. To be honest if he'd played in anyway well Sarries would have been clear out of sight 15 mins ago.

    I called it right. :):D

Great win for the sarries brilliant second half performance :D

Wheels coming off the tour bus for the Bokke. We've got to fancy ourselves against 'em.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    Just got stream going now.

    What a win for Venter.

    Any positives for 'Boks?

In fairness though, that was a fairly woeful SA team that was put out.

  • Most entertaining game of the Autumn series

It looks like the midweek games have the most entertaining in the Autumn.

Think it comes down to the fact that the club sides have nothing to lose.

Hopefully they'll come to Ireland next year.

Munster vs All Blacks 2010 ftw! :D

Entertaining enough match, think the crowd was 44k or thereabouts.

    The good:
Some random lad from the crowd winning £250k for hitting the bar from 40m.

    The bad:
The Boks managed to break CJ VDL.

    The ugly:
Sarries flyhalf, my jaysus he was awful.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,300 ✭✭✭2040

Gutted i didn't watch this. Sounds like it was a real cracker. Who funded the 250k? And how did they break CJ? Is he injured? Great interview with Venter on the skysports website by the way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,886 ✭✭✭Hippo

Mmm NOT the most successful tour of all time then

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

VDL went off after 14 minutes?!

    Is he injured again?
