    Hi Folks.

I have just bought a threadmill of a friend (for a really nice price :)), an offer I couldn't refuse etc...

However TBH I'm not entirely sure on how to get the best results from it.:(

I am 34yo, male, 13 1/2 stone. I have a bit of a belly and boobage, thanks to an amazing honeymoon in Itlay :o.....

I usually walk with foot and arms weights, and I was thinking of transferring this to the threadmill and aiming for quick walking and light running.

Does anyone use similar techniques (or am I waaaay off in my approach).

Also would anyone have advice on how to really use the threadmill to loose weight and tone up!!

    All advice welcome.

    Thanks in advance folks!!!

First off, a good start would be knowing how to spell treadmill correctly :)

I would say that building up your general cardio fitness is a good start. Have you done much running before at all, or just walking?

He was being ironic you dumbass! Threadmill/treadmill in a... THREAD!
    It's pure genius actually. :D

Anyways OP. I think you should aim for an hour each time you go on the treadmill. Walk for five minutes, jog/run for five minutes, maybe throw in a sprint every now and then.

And big word of advice, get that funky lube ASAP for it so it doesn't **** up!

There's no way you've lost 10 pounds of fat in 10 days. Sorry to burst your bubble. :)

I lost 5 kg of something or other at the start of September in 3 weeks, and my strength was fine....

I never said that ya eejit ye!
I've cut out carbs, and it's all waterweight from all the crap I was eating. Maybe a pound or two of fat, that'll have me happy!

Khannie I'll award ya with dumb post of the day 'cause I like ya :P

keep moving for 25 to 30 minutes. At first it might be a walk / slow walk. Then spells of running between spells of walking. Eventually running. Then faster running.
