Finasteride and gaining muscle

Finasteride is a prescription drug used in the treatment of enlarged prostate glands and male pattern baldness.
It works by inhibiting the conversion of of testosterone to DHT(Dihydrotestosterone) thus lowering DHT levels in the body.
Now my question would this increase muscle building ability, since less testosterone is being converted to DHT ther would be higher levelsof testosteone in the body, or hinder it, if DHT contributes in some way to muscle growth?
Wikipedia is giving me conflicting infomation(thats a suprise;)). On the finasteride page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finasteride) it claims:
However, DHT also plays an important role in the functioning of the central nervous system (the brain), the testicles and prostate, and almost everything but muscle tissue. In muscle tissue, testosterone is the dominant hormone, which is why some bodybuilders inject testosterone derivatives to aid in muscular development.
While on the DHT(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dihydrotestosterone) page it claims:
DHT is an important contributor to other characteristics generally attributed to males, including facial and body hair growth, and deepening of the voice. DHT may also play a crucial role in both sex drive and the growth of muscle tissue.
So anyone have any knowledge of natural steroids they want to share that would hep answer this question.
I hope to do some research on this in the library next week anyway.

Finasteride is usually sold under the trade name Proscar when you're talking about treating prostate enlargement, or Propecia when being used by bodybuilders trying to hold onto their hair. It could probably promote muscle growth for a short period of time (wouldn't expect much), and could also kill your libido.

If you're taking this you've been prescribed it (unless you got it from a nice legitimate online Mexican pharmacy). Whoever prescribed it to you should be able to answer questions about side effects.
