Is the Irish flag emblem in this game. I cant seem to find it. UK, USA, Japan....etc but cant see the auld green white and gold.

Definitely there, was killed by a guy who had it in my first match. Same fella had "Up Celtic" and "Long live the pope" in his bio.:D

I was reppin' Ivory Coast for a while there. I think people get the point, im not playing on Xbox Live from Yamossoukro! Although their ISP is probably more relyable than Eircom.

uhmm I actually think that could be Ireland, but IW fecked up.

Look at the italian flag 2 callsigns above it, its also reversed like the irish flag, it has it red white and green when italy like ireland is green and white first.

Surely it's the Irish flag no? I've been using it all day and all the people I've talked to online instantly recognised it as the Irish flag.

ive gotten onto IW about this, doubt anything will happen but i brought up the point that if the USA or UK's flag had a error on it you know something would be done.

Technically thats correct, we just hate to admit it.

Some teachers in Ireland never explained to their students that and called it is Gold and why.
I had a 2 hr argurment one night with a chap from Cavan, he eventually conceeded when I sent him a wiki link the next day. But he never forgave me for destroying his pride in the flag.

Isn't there something about the flag being displayed back to front on uniforms, something to do with which side you were standing in relation to the flag bearer in olden times? I think the US army might even still do that on their shoulders... Not sure if that ever applied to Irish uniforms though.

half the flags are back to front so the "ivory coast" one is the ireland flag....i wish it was the right way round though lol

The US army has the flag "backwards" on their uniform so it always looks like it is blowing behind them. It's one of them american motivational things to make it look like the soldier is always going forward. That bugged me for ages till i looked it up and now i'll never forget!

Checked that on wiki myself and I still think it's one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard. Why not put it on the other shoulder?

Any reply yet? I cant see them patching MW2 just for flags though they might include it if enough fuss is made. Any idea how many units of MW2 were sold in Ireland? I know we have a high console to population ratio so there is no excuse for them to be getting this wrong.

BTW does anyone else enjoy killing someone a bit more when you see a american flag on it? Especially after not having our own one done right

i doubt they will release a patch just for flags but maby they will include a flag fix in a coming patch(hopefully)...me myself i enjoy kiling the british flag people more:p...maby i just say...WHY ARE AMERICANSSO ANNOING ON THEIR HEADSETS:mad:

The reason the US flag is reversed on the shoulder is to simulate the flag blowing in the wind as the soldier runs into battle.

I would expect the change cause its not just the irish flag, Italy is also wrong and someone said a number of other ones have mstakes so it might be an incentive to fix it with that many wrong.

in the US military that's right not too sure about ours, maybe teh deelopers figured all nations did it that way

I was using the Ivory coast flag and people got the point.

In fairness I hardly see a bloke called Didier banging away at Russians on xbox live.

Its annoying alright though, I've moved away to using the cooler ones you get unlocked.

Apparently there is a mistake in the US flag too. My mate spotted something amis with it the other night - thou I must say I didn't check myself.

It would be the same if it was upside-down, but not if it was back-to-front.
