Post Your Success Stories

I don't know if there is a thread about this already, but I thought it would be good if people could post their fitness success stories.

Did you start out heavy and lose a load of weight? If so, how did you do it? How long did it take? What did you weigh when you started and when you met your goal?

I guess the same could apply for those who are putting on muscle etc. What did you weigh beforehand, how did you put on muscle without increasing bodyfat?

From my own point of view though, the weight loss stories are of more interest to me. But that's just because that's what I'm trying to do myself.

And with that, off you go...

    Here come the fitness police...

Anyway this thread was aimed at people to share the success stories. I think it would be motivational.

i gained a stone last winter, more or less pure muscle. lost it again over the summer doing team training and playing games with little time made for maintenance of muscle.

now i intend to put it back on, be stronger and more powerful and maintain it over the summer, somehow

About this time last year I was tipping 18stone, currently 11.5 stone... with a bit to go before the tri season starts up. Lurking on here helped quite a bit

I have a success story for you.

Earlier today I opened my press to get a cup out for a cup of coffee, and a cup fell out as I was opening the door. As it fell I stuck my foot out to break it's fall in the hope that it wouldn't smash, and instead, ended up kicking the cup back upwards and caught it in my hand.

Success. OT, but I had to share.
